  5. I agree with the water changes, however if the fry are healthy it may be an injury as discus parents can become aggressive while defending the young.
  6. Hi Peter, hope you enjoy the site.
  7. I have plenty but they cost $1.60 each plus postage. Overnight delivery (except rural) total cost would be $30.
  8. I think most people have favourites. Yours is obviously Africans but lots of people have different favourites and therefore I would be surprised if their was much support.

  10. How can I possibly be at the bottom. Everyone knows that water runs downhill. There is no land at the North Pole and the South Pole is a continent. The Waikato river starts in sunny Taupo and ends somewhere in rainy Auckland which means I must be at the TOP OF THE WORLD (almost) anyway mag. turned up today. :mbh: :happy1: thanks Caryl.
  11. I am sure I will survive till it arrives.
  12. A PH of 6 is not helping especially for the goldfish in such a small tank. Goldfish prefer PH7.6 Guppies 7.3 WCMM 6-8. I suspect the water is too soft and acidic.
  13. I once tried hydrochloric acid, the only thing I killed was the filter, snails were back within a week. I would go with the snail rid idea as it is tried and tested.
  14. I have several cf 1200's and I have had problems also. In my case the problem was over tightening the shut off valves.
  15. I often look back and realise I wasted money on things I thought I really really wanted. but then cheer myself up thinking about the things I bought that give me pleasure. :dunno:
  16. I agree skunk loaches are really good at getting rid of snails, however if you need to remove the loach afterwards they are extremely hard to catch unless their is nowhere to hide.
  17. They are in a 550L tank, they have heaps of caves and they are as happy as Larry :slfg:
