  1. People knew from day 1 that I had them David, there are earlier posts from when they first became available. Not much point for photo's as they are in a 900L heavily planted tank with 3 others I bought and 4 gold nuggets. The hope is if they are left alone and I get the conditions right they will breed and eventually they will be a common ( if unseen ) aquisition to the hobby. I know there has been a lot of chatter about importing new species and I for one would like to see it happen however their are a few breeds around that need to be helped along and maybe more effort could be made in that direction. ( sorry for straying off topic )
  2. Contradictory or not the 5 I received were no more than 2 cm from head to tail and hff held them in the shop for 8 weeks for me because I was in the middle of moving house. The person who collected them from hff for me could quite possibly be able to confirm this.
  3. The price I was quoted was $1000 each and when I offered them $3500 for 5 they said no, 8 weeks later they offered them to me for $700 and I bought 5. THEY WERE NO BIGGER THAN MY THUMBNAIL.
  4. 2 years ago HFF were selling them for $1000 each and they were not much bigger than a thumbnail.

    fish you hate.

goldfish are greedy and skunk loaches are virtually bullet proof and impossible to catch. :an!gry
  10. The tank is looking good Jamie, congrats.
  11. I put a rare stake on a horse and it came last, I went hoarse shouting at it, bet you can guess what I wanted to do with the stake
  12. England,18 years. Our son (8) when we arrived came home from school one day proclaiming YOU GUYS SOUND LIKE POMS! I didn't understand as I have a beautiful broad kiwi accent. :slfg:
  13. I wish I had some dough to buy the dough or bread to buy some bread and it was sweet of you to give me a sweet to eat on the suit by the way. Bye for now.
  14. I see he also has a buy now of $2600 for a pair of turks.
  15. Empty it and redo the bracing
  16. I am with AA and when 1 of my 900L tanks broke they refused the claim on the grounds that it was faulty workmanship but paid out for a 2nd tank (240L) which was broken by the glass which travelled 4metres. Cost of replacement tank, filter and light was more than $1200. The irony is that I was trying to claim for my carpet to be cleaned at a cost of $300 which they also turned down claiming it was a fixture and not a fitting. They offered to pay out on my building insurance but the excess was higher than the cost. 2 years prior they paid out on the same type of claim when My 550L tank flooded the front room, someone left the hosepipe running for a very long time. :dunno:
  17. Looks really nice. What are the foreground plants?
  18. So who will train an Arowana to do a 3 point turn in a 4' tank? :slfg:
  19. Sorry to hi-jack thread but what is multi-meter please?
  20. I think you should go to a decent aquarist shop and take a good hard look at both types of fish and decide which type you like the most then purchase the type of fish that suits the size of tank available. I am sure which ever way your passion takes you will work out fantastically for whatever decision you make and give you pleasure for a long, long time. Enjoy.
