Hi, wanting to fly a dog from Wellington to Invercargill. Have been Quoted $300 by Air New Zealand. Does anyone know of any other less expensive options please?

When I drove to Invercargill from Taupo I put poly under my 2.4m tank and blankets in between the tank and poly bins which were carrying the fish. The rest of my tanks came with the removal truck nothing was broken and from memory I think it only cost between $5k - $6k.

I paint the back of my tanks black and use sand from a lake edge. I think it really sets the tank off . It is cheap and fun to collect.

I got the last 5 from the previous batch according to the manager ( whom I spoke to on the phone ) when I arranged pick up on the 1st October last year.

Gold nuggets( Amazon ) prefer ph around 7. Duboisi ( African ) ph8. Zebra Plec ( Amazon ) ph 6.7.

It is a new batch and they only grow to about 10cm.

I think everyone has a different approach to maintenance as tank sizes differ different types of fish have different needs and stocking levels vary.

I Have just moved from Taupo after 12 years. ( Still have my house there) I spent 10 of those working as a courier and got to know a lot of people. ( Kurupae Rd was in my area ) Palmers garden world has shut down, The Complete Garden has gone and a lot of businesses are struggling.

I would suggest a bucket (or bigger) outside in the garden and you will have green water very quickly.
