  1. BTW - I have a golden long fin pleco, a few cories and some loaches in the bottom section of my tank. thanks
  2. Hi again, Apologies for the delay, it's been a busy week. Do the 2 Plecos only get to around 10 cm? if so, can I please pick them up on the weekend if they are still available? Thanks!
  3. Hi, ive got a 180L community tank and have been thinking of getting another pleco. How much did you want for the clown Plec or the L140? Thanks
  4. I think that like most schooling fish the more the merrier. Ive got 3 in my 180L, which is the minimum you should get with any schooling fish (& remember they will eventually get big) & mine seem happy! They are lovely fish to watch!
  5. I agree with Karina. I've got 4 types of loaches including clowns and have always had a planted tank. I've found clowns and chain loaches great for eating snails and loaches are popular so easy to sell on if needed. Anything's better than copper if you have any sensitive fish. If they are multiplying fast it may also mean there's too much food for them. Good luck!
  6. Hollywood fish farm in Auckland stock it and they post products out at a reasonable price. HTH
  7. Hi, I run an aquis 1000 alongside my AR850. It was easy to set up the aquis with the spray bar going down the hole in the back LHS where the cords etc go in and drilling a pipe sized hole near the outlet hole on the RHS and a small piece out the back so that the inlet pipe sits flush. Let me know if you need more details/pics if you decide to go this way. My opinion was the more filtration the better & it means you have an intake pipe going from the back left and right of the tank. HTH!
  8. Hollywood sell praziquantel in liquid form for around $25 I think. Not sure if they sell levamisol though - I bought some from Bird Barn about a year ago although it wasn't in the fish section. Both places promptly post/courier. HTH
  9. Very pretty, what colour is he supposed to be?
  10. My peppered corys do this quite a bit during the day and my other corys - sterbais, smudge, bronze & albino corys do it at night when the lights are out and they think you aren't looking. I hope this helps!
  11. I didn't notice my latest female looking sick at all but the original female that I got was breathing rapidly before she died...
  12. GL with your pair, hopefully they are strong, healthy, successfully spawn for you & you can sell some babies back to people like me! :happy2:
  13. I guess the price is related to supply and demand and the fact that they last for a couple of weeks makes it hard to prove that it isn't the buyer's fault unfortunately. I WILL however tell them that I lost another & won't be buying any more. :roey: A pity as they are pretty although a bit more timid than my Bolivians who are little characters!
  14. Hmm, I wondered if that may be the case. As pretty as they are, they are too costly if they keep dropping like flies. I think I'll wait and see how this guy goes and maybe replace him with the more hardy bolivians or some other dwarf something that catches my interest. Thanks for your replies
