  6. Could be the male has eaten them Although in my experience I have always found kribs to be good parents. Could it be the eggs have been there a while and you did not notice them and maybe yes they have been moved? Is it a community tank?

  10. Females are very hard to come by, I would buy it just for that reason alone.

  12. I got rid of my cyno using the black out method.
  13. brown algae is usually associated with lack of light whereas algal blooms usually mean too much light (hmmm?) Would you like to borrow a uv steriliser ? TLC is available at any good lfs or vet centre.
  14. He should be fine on his own. Feed him up before you go,I would NOT reintroduce female especially if she wants to spawn again. I tried that once many moons ago and even though they were bigger than a 2 dollar coin they got eaten.

I once had a big problem with green water and tried several remedies without success untill I added a second filter and it cleared up in a couple of days, I removed the second filter after a few weeks and never had any problems since. also there is a product on the market called TLC which is being used to clear up some of the Central North Island lakes and it is supposed to be very good at getting rid of green water. (have not tried it myself).

Shop around I picked up several 1200x450x450 for $35 each a 3 foot light at switched on gardener is about $100 ( 5 foot double flourescent at Mastertrade with 6500 kelvin tubes cost about $60 )a couple of new 100watt heaters at about $25-$30 each and a very good filter depending on preference anywhere from $50 -$250.

    Stunted fish.

    A couple of my discus seem to be stunted but are showing good colouration.
