And the meds wont effect my black knife?

ok so i should - remove carbon from filter go with the local methlyn blue med and follow its instructions from my reading the above will sort the fungi thats in the water but what should i do for the shark who is showing the spots? should i also raise the temp and give salt? or is that too much? should i move the black knife to my other tank???

I do have some green aquarium salt, so is everyone agreed i should just add that and up the temp??

White spot. Tank currently has a silver shark, a plec, 2 x Angels, a Black Knife. Tank temp is at 27 degrees and does have carbon in the filter. Im 99% certain the shark has white spot. I understand any treatment could hurt the black knife? The Local FS has Metelyn Blue as a treatment and said just keep adding it daily until it seems the white spot has gone.? The one in palmy has a combo of Malcrite Green and Soliformline (excuse the spelling), they said the white spot should go within 24 hours, but i can't get to Palmy until sunday! What should i do. If needed i could move the black knife to my other tank which has neons, guppies, glass fish, and a clown loach but I then risk transferring disease??.

How am I going to know at the LFS whether it is the opposites sex or what sex the first one is??

So i got 1 angel and then added another the 2nd one is a little bigger then the first. The smaller one cornered the big one straight away and hasnt stopped for a day cornering and nipping. :evil: Will this stop once other types of fish are added? Do i need another angel? Should i take mean one back and try another? Should i leave them as they are? :-?

Ok im going with the two angels... for the fish ive listed is a community flake and bloodworm all that is required?

Furthermore I feed them a community flake and blood worm every 3rd day... is this all that is required?

Hi in my 2nd tank which measures - 75w x 35H x 37D cm I have 2 Male + 2 Female Guppies 4 x Glass Fish 1 x Albino Cory 2 x Glow light Tetra 1 x Black Neon Tetra 5 x Neon Tetra Im pretty sure the tank could handle more... I think I would like more neon for a better effect... What are you thoughts on quanity or anything that would go well with these fine fishies 8)

90x45x45cm im aware some of the fish may need relocating as they will outgrow this one too.

Hi All here a couple of photos of my tank set up yesterday... as mentioned in previous posts i am going to put 1 x silver shark 1 x Black Knife 1 x Clown Loach (adding about 3 more of them later) 1 x Gold Spotted Pleco. I have to leave it a week eh before adding anything?? As you can see from above list not many will be out in the day or if they do will mostly be around bottom of tank. I want some movement and colour higher up though.... there seems to be difference of opinion about having angels in there... so whats everyones thoughts?? And yes it is a converted turtle tank (therefore shelf in there) i know will make cleaning harder

Hi the LFS in Levin is not great.. i dont think they care much about them seem to only care about dogs.. and knowledge it not good... Wet Pets in Palmerston North is much much much better... but seems to cost more. :roll:

Is there any rules about the amount of air pumped into a tank via air stones?? Also how do i know the filter i am using is going to be ok for da fish i.e litres per hour is it too strong?

hmm so a bit risky going with the angels... do you have another recomendation?
