I agree about the pondmaster mine is excellent and worth every cent but the green killing machine sponge clogs very quickly even though this is only a back up to my Eheim 2233 which I am also unimpressed with ( give me a fluval any day of the week)

Hi HaNs, if you go down to the river down by the control gate when the level is low (quite often) their is an enormous sand bank that is where I get mine, but it does take a long time to clean.

When I had a problem with green water I tried everything and in the end it was an extra filter which cured it and it never came back even after I removed the second filter. The reason I do not like the green killing machine is because the sponge filter clogs up too easily.

I also have a pondmaster and it works really well.

Hi Sharn daft though it may seem a lot of people do not know how to catch (net) a fish or adequately pack one.( even experienced people some of which are on this site.)

Hi Karlos and welcome, sounds like a good plan but I personally would not keep angels and rams together.Also the angels will eat anthing small enough to fit in their mouths.
