  4. my jebo's are crap, slowly replacing them with Elite, it only has submersible on the pack & the instructions show the top out of the water but i emailed them to check & they replied that they are fully submersible, had no probs with them so far.

  6. yeah that was heaps!! i couldn't get it to english, did it have how many litres? & i hope the tree stump doesn't get overgrown & covered by the plants.

  9. thanks, silly Q, but can you get any other colours eg, darker lighter? im after something really dark to show up the silver in my pictus.
  10. i second that, im looking for something for my pictus tank but haven't decided what yet.
  11. my cucumber sinks! i slice it about 1/2 inch thick, chop in halves, cook it for a few minutes & then freeze it, i chuck it in the tank & it sinks within a few minutes, peas & beans i dunk in boiling water for about 30 seconds & thats it, apart for shelling the peas, raw spud i just slice a thin piece, rinse under the hot tap & chuck in, bn's like it better that the pleco at the moment.
  12. ive only ever seen 1 at animates & i did some reading about it as i wanted to buy it but everything i could find suggested they hide so i left it & for $50 i didnt want to find out for myself :lol:

  16. i think you need something alive in there to start the process off like a snail or 2 or some cheap fish, but im sure someone else can give you the right info, best of luck!!
  17. i just have a little single sponge filter in my guppies/bn fry tank, seems to work fine & was about $11

  21. they are awesome!! if any of my fish look to have scrapes etc i put acouple of pumps of aqua plus in, its meant to be good for that, also my pictus rip the plecos tail & it heals up very quickly with abit of aqua plus.

  23. question, do males generally have longer fins than females? i have what i think to be 2 males & 2 females, the males have way longer fins & extensions.
  24. my main is a 300L & it has 3 small bn 1 large bn 6 small pictus 4 small geo surinamensis 3 danios 4 blue rams 5 kuli loaches (sp) still setting up a 200L for the pictus & 2 of the bn's to lighten the load a 40L with a few guppies & a 25l with guppy & bn fry.
