  1. i do intend to put on there about the suspected leak & it can be up to however wants it to pull it apart & use the glass or whatever they want. i have awesome feedback & its from being honest about what i sell. wonder if i should keep the lids & use them if i get another tank?
  2. for my 4 ft tank, ive decided to sell it after finding that dripping water the other day, it hasn't dripped since & i still dont know where it came from. tank size is 120cm long, 59cm wide & approx 52cm high ( i cant lift the hood to get an exact measure)6mm glass & has bracing on the top at both ends & in the middle & all lids. not selling the stand or hood as i want to get a new one made. i'll list it on trade me but would like to know what to set the reserve at, im sure it could be resealed or pulled apart or might not have anything wrong at all but im not laying awake at nite wondering
  3. yeah, i think its time for a new tank once i found out that the glass is too thin its been worrying me, & i did get up last nite to check it!
  4. did the usual WC yesterday, took some fish out & put the hood back on & was plugging everything back in & there was water dripping from under the stand. my tank is on a steel stand & has a board then poly & the water was dripping from a corner. its at the back & no water was spilled because i hadnt started filling it. it dripped for about 2 minutes, enough for me to panick & we took the hood off & statred to try & catch the fish & change tanks, then it stopped. now i dont know if there is a crack in the bottom, but surely it would have kept on dripping??? so i dont know if i should strip the tank or leave it, haven't replaced the water i took out yet, thought i would get up this morning to wet carpet!! checked the air lines to & they were dry so i have no idea where the water came from. :-?
  5. mine eat anything going, i had 2 in 1 tank & they wouldn't come out till i put more in. but in another tank i chucked only 2 in & they are out alot.
  6. thanks for the replys everyone, i hooked it up to my other tank & it was fine for awhile but now just as bad again. it had it set up to bleed the extra air off on both lines but it made no difference. its not vibrating off anything its just really loud & when you put your ear against the tank its really bad.

    Plecos galore

wasn't till i saw the comments that i realised that too, because my first thought was that wasn't the enviroment i had imagined they would be in, but looks like they have adapted well, wonder if there was any vegetation in the river before they arrived

    Plecos galore

so they have been let go in the river & then bred like crazy??? just as well our rivers are too cold or they would be banned.
  13. get a refund & then see if she lists it again at a lower price.
  14. get 2 then u have somewhere to put the fish if 1 busts & its a good excuse to have more tanks
  15. alans right, make sure you have the camera running & its still full, id pay to see that
  16. they are great fun to watch, no doubt
  17. i have a geo surinamensis that likes to cover a little bridge in the tank with stones, then uncover it, then dig pits around it to make the bridge fall over, then fill the holes back in. he also gets angry at any java moss that floats into his digging space, grabs it & relocates it
  18. be careful with your barbs they do get mean towards gouramis, but its worth a crack!
  19. ok, ive made stuff to go in my new tank, tunnels etc, that are covered in a layer of silicone & then stones, just worried if i dont leave them long enough it could harm my fish. just being overly cautious i guess.
  20. if you make something to go in your tank & use silicone, how long do you leave it to cure?? on the tube it has full cure in 72hrs & 7 days for fish tanks, im guessing thats if you are making a tank to leave it that long. im leaving the stuff i made for atleast 3 days but im keen to hear what others do.
  21. wow nice pic, i had 6 rams & now only have 4 & 1 is in the hospital tank sitting on the bottom looking sad, 3rd 1 to do it.
  22. this is mine! I am Kung Fu Master. I like to be in control of myself. I dislike crowds, especially crowds containing people trying to kill me. Even though I always win, I prefer to avoid fights if possible. (If you were not Kung Fu Master you would be Jetpac Man.)
  23. thanks, i'll get down to farmlands & have a look, otherwise its back to the fizzy bottle idea!
  24. ryan i was meaning to let you know i'd be coming with my bf & have found someone to have the kids ( do we need to bring anything & how much is it??). the worms look flat & i was thinking they have been flattened by the dirt while the jar was rolling around on it way here.
  25. i finally decided to get some for my fish & they arrived today, problem is, i dont know what they are meant to look like & im thinking the ones i have just got are all dead!! are they meant to be flat & stuck to the side of the jar?? ive tried to take a photo but it wont come out well enough. to me they look like little tiny worms that are squashed like pancakes. any help would be great
