anyone have any tips they want to share, like things you make at home for your tanks instead of buying them? i made a bubble curtain for one of my tanks with just a piece of airline & poked holes in it with a needle. didn't take to long & looks the same as a brought one!

fishboi, this blackwater extract, is it from your lsf? i asked awhile ago about softening my water but the one here didn't mention it.

mine are still only babies & 1 got a stone stuck in its mouth & i had to catch it & remove it so i'll be swapping to smaller grit when i replace their tank.

what about as they get bigger, do they fade? noticed some older one's in the lfs & their colour was not as good as the young ones.

Whats the best food to feed my fish? And how often?

ive found my fish to do better when fed blood worms, so i feed about every 3 days & flake, pellets, pleco chips etc -
our boy stays in the cave for weeks, he may come out at nite but i doubt it, he's only about 5cm but is an excellent dad!

we had a meeting last month, seem to go well but haven't heard back when the next one is, im happy to have it at my place & do leg work but would prefer if someone with abit more knowledge would actually take the meetings, if you get what i mean.

there are some members trying to set up a club but so far without much success, i was just stating its a poor atittude if you are only will to share information with FNZAS members.

so if we would like to learn more about our fish we need to be in the FNZAS, not so easy when there is no fish club here. maybe if members feel they wont share with everyone on here then you guys need your own locked forum us commoners cant get in.

i have 3 that seem happy enough at the moment, they might be fast but their friends werent faster than my pictus cats :lol:

i must admit i thought about posting a polite question just to let him know you could buy a very nice brand new tank for alot less & it would be a hell of alot bigger but after reding the Q & A's decided not to!! im now starting to think i could put my surinamensis, hoplo, redspot, rams & all the rest in there while i wait to replace my 4ft tank, im sure they would be fine, kinda like those lovely jars you see with fruit stuffed in them, this would be a fishy one!!

my cats love the stuff & can only hope i spill some for them to eat!! & i keep it up high otherwise they would scoff it.
