I've got a spare one of those glo 24" units around that I chucked on top of my tank as well but it didn't make much of a difference so I took it back off. I think you would notice more of a difference with a 36" one. Nice gold nugget pleco

Cheers. The Tiger Lotus hasn't grown much hieght wise but has lots of little plantlets anyone know why?

:lol: You can't see it but I have green hair algae on most of the plants which is annoying me real bad so I just brought a flying fox to hopefully help get rid of it and turned my co2 up a little and starting dosing flourish excel again at a higher rate than what the bottle says but not by much. I also have a very tiny amount of black beard algae that I have been meaning to pull out as well. I'm thinking of getting a couple more swords to plant as well, anyone got any comments on which kind? I was thinking maybe a rose but I know they grow pretty big.

I have had my pressurised co2 running for about 2 weeks now and the growth has been amazing. I have trimmed everything twice apart from my swords and tiger lotus. Here are some updated pics as of this afternoon. At a guess I would say maybe the Gourami's. Are your plants sercured properly in the ground? if not the might just be getting knocked around and uprooting themselves.

I'd have to agree with the whole not mixing of rummynose and cardinals just because they are the same shape. I'd go with a different shaped tetra like a group of bleeding heart tetras. Oh and hide the equipment

I don't have one of those but I have a Rio 180. I don't like the curved front glass on the Visions but thats just me. I have no problems with my Rio 180 and love it. They are really tidy looking tanks. I've heard the filters are fairly easy to remove but haven't tried myself, I use mine to hide everything apart from my external filter outlets.

I grew glosso in my Juwel Rio 180 which has 2 x 45w t5ho's with reflectors. I ended up pulling it out cause it grew too well and was annoying me :lol:

Its just a plastic/ceramic one. It looks pretty cheap but I'm very surprised at how well it works. The bubbles are so small and by the time the reach the top of my tank they are pretty much gone. Its called a Hexa I think well thats what is written on it. I tried looking around on the net for it but couldn't find any info about it. Like I said it came with the reg and so on.

Not sure where you got that price from but thats pretty expensive. I brought my reg with solnoid, bubble counter, tubing and diffuser for $215 from trademe which is the same reg that you post from ebay. I also brought the bottle for $200 with the first two refills for free from here http://www.wises.co.nz/p/pressure-check ... ting/nzf5/ so all up it only cost me $415. If anyone is interested let me know and I can pm you the buyer I brought it from as I think he has a few for sale. He also gave me a heap of plants as well.

I have only used Fluval/Eheims so can't comment on the Aqua ones but have no complaints with either fluval and ehiem so I have stuck with them plus you can find good deals on trademe.

I want to see pics as well :bounce:
