  1. Neons are harder than Cardinals. In the 30 degree water temp I don't think either would last real long, not too sure about the glowlights though.
  2. Have you got any updates of this tank? I think it looks awesome.
  3. You should add where in NZ you are to your profile if you want more neons I have 29 I am thinking of selling.
  4. What kind of tiles did you get? I saw one in that link and he had gray tiles with white swirls onwhich looked cool cause it looked like he had halides on his tank
  5. Forgot to mention it also comes with the Black stand. Here is a link for more info: https://www.juwel-aquarium.de/en/rio.htm
  6. I haven't put this in the for sale section cause I just want to see if anyone is interested in buying it cause I want a bigger tank so is anyone interested? it still has the filter box inside it also come with reflectors, 2 x day tubes and 1 x spare nature tube. I would also leave the silica sand in the tank and can give some clippings of some of my plants. So if you are interested PM me with a price.
  7. Ahh ok that makes more sense I plan to have a bigger tank with a bigger ehiem than my 2213 by the time they are that big anyway.
  8. I know that but I don't think I NEED more filtration yet.

[What's this?] Recommended water change schedule: 5% per week. Your aquarium stocking level is 32% Why do I NEED more filtration if capacity is only at 61%?

Hey P44 are you going to use that with a yeast mix?
  12. Very nice. I need to get me one but just waiting for the "right one"
  13. I know this is an old thread but thought I would ask a question on here instead of making a new one. Can you use active yeast instead of bakers yeast?
  14. My dog is my fly control, he loves chasing them and eating them.
  15. You can get pool filter sand from any pool shop or I got mine from Bunnings.
  16. It is a 450L tank. I reckon it'd look cool with a massive school of some kind of tetras.
  17. Nice one. I got my jewel rio 180 about 1 week ago and love it.
  18. Thanks for the feedback guys. Heater isn't much of a problem as I already have a spare one I could use but sounds like the filter is crap. its a shame cause I think they look real nice but for the price tag you'd expect everything to work well.
  19. I'm looking at buying a Juwel 180 what does everyone think of them? any input would be nice regarding lights filtration etc. thanks.
  20. I have brought one of those ones before and it was a pretty good one never had any probs with it.
