Put a young males in today, he took to his reflection (and the fumes from polyurethane?) Then he noticed he could see his brother across in another setup  He ran up and down so i opened the door and he jumped onto my arm and started head bobbin lol

  10. welcome...............the famous herperjosh off you tube
  11. Used to own some - found bloodworms great and algae tablets they would come out and eat if hungry enough. Food in tank at lights out and all gone by the morning
  12. try burying a spud just under the soil in your garden or around your compost...apparintly it will attract whiteworms. Let me know how you get on ive been meaning to try this I know ive got whiteworms in my compost but not sure if theyre just natures own or some from me dumping old cultures near by. safest/easy method is to just fork out a few dollars to get some cultures sent to you.
  13. other thing to keep in mind, beardies seem to like sitting at the highest point possible, so they may start sitting on the pot plants instead of under the heat lamp.. Doesnt really matter i just like to have the basking rock as the highest point so they hang out there. + I like simple setups as theyre easy to clean and the bugs cant hide so in theory less go to waste. Other than bugs possibly escaping you could grow a climber and have the pot outside the tank? Ivy works well, looks good. Used in zoo's so I assume its safe for beardies. Would make a nice natural background.
  14. whos the wholesaler/supplier?
  15. I had those chinese money trees (succulent thing) in there ages ago but found they just broke bits off climbing all over it. Just got to be aware that plants need water which can cause excess moisture in the tank etc Succulents not to bad becuase the can hack the dry to a certain extent.
  16. probably comes down to temp drop...with it been winter etc. check basking temps, youmay need a higher wattage bulb. If you add a hide (box with hole cut out for entry) and the beardie goes in but doesnt come out then its probably just brumating, let it be. It will come out in a week to about 3months later. Better to wait until second winter or atleast a year old and or of good size before letting them go into full brumation. So best to keep temps up whilst young. to cold they wont be able to digest there food.. to cold but not cold enough to brumate will probably equate to a lethargic dragon which cant be good. Cool end but with a good temp basking rock down other end gives the bd the option so nature can work its magic.
  17. asking for trouble imo. get 2 filters and be done with it. syphon overflow will work but if it gets blocked (will need some mesh or something over inlet/outlet to stop fish going through) as they do then you will end up with one tank filling = flood y connections will be trouble as near impossible to get even flow into and out of each tank = one tank filling more than the other = flood. overflow from both tanks down to a bin which the canister filter draws water from then pumps back upto each tank would work. if going to do that marswell make a sump? pipe drilled between the tanks...could work but messy, better off with 2 filters or one big tank
  18. im no expert on frogs but if in hibernation i wouldnt expect it to eat much if anything? nor move alot.
