    Cories

Hi Sharn, Great to hear your cory's are having so much fun in the new sand, you have put on the bottom of your tank, sounds like they are really enjoying being able to dig deep into the sand to see what they can find, bit like a treasure hunt a lol. Tell me, when you vaccum your sand , do you find that alot of it gets sucked up the vaccum pipe, and do you end up sucking up the aquatic mix along with the sand? I have always likes the look of sand in the borttom of a tank, just seems alot more natural for the fishy's too. Lynda
  2. Hi Robert, You say u have been pulling out some plants in your tank, these tan coloured balls, may be fertiliser balls that were in the plant roots and now you have disturbed the plants these balls are now floating around, other than that I have know idea what these would be, and from what I can make out, your tank is full of male fishy's only, so no chance of them laying eggs, unless some of them have been sexed wrong and you do infact have some females, I wouldn't have thought that the eggs, if thats what they are, would need much force to be damaged/squished. Anywayz, maybe what and see what other ideas posters come up with. Good Luck Lynda
  3. Now thats better, now there for all to see. Good Luck with ya bubba plants. Lynda
  4. Great to see you sooo excited about getting a CrownTail Betta. See, Good things do come to those who wait. Good Luck with breeding them. Lynda

  6. Hi Kttk, Sorry, All I see is a box that says Dot Photo, not sure why this is, maybe see if other people can see it or not. I'm sure they will let you know, if they can only see what I can see. Lynda
  7. Just thinking, is it possible for him to have something stuck in his mouth, even if he does have a fungal infection, I can't see why he wouldn't be able to close his mouth, maybe try and have a close look and see what you can find. Good Luck Lynda
  8. Hmmm, had me abit confused too, Kim and Dan, not sure what he means by weir? Lets hope he posts back and informs us as to what a weir is. Lynda
  9. Caryl, I see you have recommended a Jebo External Filter, this seems to be the way everybody goes (external) , I run a internal on my 330ltr Comm Tank and have no probs, why are the externals sooo much better? Lynda
  10. Congrats on ya BN Bubba's. Hope all goes well for them in their new home. :bounce: :bounce: I got a Male and a Female, just waiting for them to do their thing.  Good Luck Lynda
  11. Hi there Sharlene, I have been having a look at some other posts about sexing goldfish, apparently the male goldfish will get white spots on his gills around spawning time and the female will appear lot rounder than the male. Are you able to petition off one side of your pond, with a piece of wire netting, perspex or something like that, to be able to give your poor wee goldfish a rest, soundz to me like he/she needs one. Good Luck Lynda
  12. Really sorry to hear that Wok. I'm sure you'll manage somehow Lynda
  13. Hmmmm Husbands, they can be a worry sometimes   . Just can't understand what the problem would be wino, I think the pond looks great hehe      Men just don't seem to see things the way we do, now, I just cant figure out why Good luck with hubby and the pond. Lynda

  16. Well now Caryl, did you have more luck, with these hunky men going topless, after Grant went to work? hmmm, I'm sure the next lot of pics will tell all a, Caryl.   Anyway, with our minds back on the pond, (instead of the hunky men), It's really starting to look great Caryl, I'm sure you gonna be thrilled when it all comes together and you see the finished product. About how many goldies you think you gonna be able to fit in there? Great Work. Lynda
  17. Pretty Wee Fellow T. Sorry, is it a he or a she? Lynda
  18. Think you are able to buy some sort of alarm thats tells you when the temp is too hot or too cold, I'm not 100% sure about this, but do think I have read it somewhere. Maybe wait for some more posts to see what other people say, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Lynda

Our new house is in the process of being built at the mo, on 1 1/4 acres, said to hubby, would love to have a pond of some kind, so keep those pics coming Caryl, so I can (maybe) get some ideas from your pond and put them into mine.  Great Work Guys Lynda

  24. Think BBS are best to feed as soon as they hatch, because they still have their egg sac, not sure how long they have this egg sac for tho. Apparently alot more nutritious for the fry, when they still have their egg sac. Good Luck with your Bubba's Lynda
  25. Dont forget to post some pics of those hunky men you were talking about a Caryl. Look forward to seeing some Pics of ya pond too. Lynda
