Hi Caper, Really, sorry to hear about the loss of your wee Platty , Even more sorry to hear that your Wee Boy has been in Hospital, Sometimes other things take priority over our Fishies and sometimes we have no control over that, so dont be to hard on yourself, the main thing is that your Son gets better soon. 6. Hi Mooloo, I would think u would wanna put your tank a little further away from the Kent Fire than that, 1 mtr really isn't far and I know those Kent Fires can sure fire out the heat. Maybe wait and see what some other fishy people have to say about it. Good Luck Lynda
  7. Looks good Evil, pretty good price too, I would be more than happy to put one of those in my tank. Don't forget to post some pics of the new tank. :bounce: :bounce: Lynda
  8. Hi Loopy, As far as I know, if the eggs that you have, have turned white, this usually means that the male has not fertilised the eggs. You may have better luck next time. Good Luck Lynda
  9. He/She is totally Beautiful Wasp, Do you know if it is Male or Female? and how do you tell. It sure would put abit of colour in your tank alright. Lynda

  12. Hey Alan, Great idea with the Lettuce Leaf, hung over the side of the tank to attract the snails. Gotta be far better solution than using those Snail Rid Products you can buy, far healthier option for the Fishies in the tank too. Lynda
  13. You will loose some of your fry, I too have Angel Fry, and losses are just something that you have to accept. Remember lots of BBS/ Microworms and lots of water changes. My Angels are onto their 4th spawning now, got Angel Fry coming out me ears.  Good Luck with the Bubba's Lynda

    Fin Rot??

Hi PJ, Really sorry to hear bout the lose of your Fishies. I would maybe, do a water change before you add anymore meds to the tank, Plecs are pretty hardy, so I think it would be fine to go ahead and add some Salt and Melafix to the tank. Maybe wait and see what other advice posters give you, before you go ahead and treat. Good Luck, hope you Fishies get better soon. :bounce: :bounce: Lynda
  19. That will look awesome Kookie, I always think that fishies look their best, when in a large group, seems to bring out their colour more. Happy Fishing Lynda

  22. Fishy-t, Now thats a pretty big ask, you wanting to get some freshwater Shrimps, so they last a little longer and can RELAX in the tank, (well yea, like that's gonna happen lol) so Mr hanky can then devour them. Now, I just can't imagine, how relaxing that would be, just waiting to be devoured by some great big Puffer Fish.  Poor wee shrimpy's Lynda
  23. Awesome pics Daniel :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: What have you got running long the back of the tank in the second pic, (I think it was the second pic) Beautiful pics of the fishy's too. Lynda
  24. Well Well Well, silly monkey,  Just tell me something, you say you checked that the heater was cool, then unplugged it, aren't you meant to unplug it, leave it for awhile to cool in the water, before taking it out of the water, and why was the heater cool, if it was still plugged in? Confusing Stuff.  By the way, really sorry to hear about the washing machine lid.  Lynda
