GrahamC
http://www.algaebase.org/search/species ... s_id=59094 Results also indicate that adaptation from a marine to a freshwater habitat has happened at least twice independently in the Cladophorales. - (28 Nov 2006) - Wendy Guiry So who knows .. perhaps it can readapt to a marine environment in its filamentous form. Sheepsnana
Keeping in mind that in NZ, stuff grows, and grows well. It may have only had 5mm a year growth where it came from, but there are several imports to NZ that have taken off and gotten out of control because people didn't realise that they could. Damn possoms.
#!CrunchBang
Keeping in mind that in NZ, stuff grows, and grows well. Damn possoms. It took 3 attempts to establish possums here. :sml1: :smot:
Sheepsnana
Grows well. Not necessarily breeds well? I was thinking gorse, rabbits, sparrows, etc. The ones that have become pests, which made me think possoms. I'm still shocked that they're protected in Aus :slfg:

alanmin4304
Plants or animals which are legally imported go through quarantine to make sure they have not piggybacked diseases. Even if a smuggled animal or plant is already here there is still the risk of other things arriving with them.

F15hguy
the bracket of the roller door, those things have VERY strong springs winding them up(the possum's tail was trapped in it). got me in the eye socket was out for about 10 mins, 10 stitches, worst black eye ever
reef
http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/student-sentenced-importing-fish-tank-algae-5114356 Just found the thread missed all the action. Silly thing is that she did get a warning, but continued to bring them in. However No doubt the Fish keeping industry will get more red tap when importing fish. can't wait for the next review when they always put more pressure to close the hobby down Next step is now to ban all shipping/tourist that comes in to new zealand which cause the biggest irreparable damage to New Zealand's aquaculture. Yea like that will happen. easier to blame the tropical fish industry. .
