I am not yet fully self sufficient yet as I'm still living with my Parents but I earn enough to get by in the animal husbandry industry, working at the Museum as Live Animals Curator and at Arataki visitor centre maintaining their displays also.

In the future, I want to be a field researcher in Congo and Rwanda studying Gorilla behavior and monitoring poaching/ land encroachment etc. (Will hopefully get a 1 year contract next year before studying my Masters in Primatology at Oxford. Id also like to work with Crocs in queensland at some stage in my career (crocs are fascinating creatures), and with Tigers in Bangladesh and India, although my number one focus at the moment is on Primatology.

At the moment I work 2 days a week at a petstore and I'm first year at Unitec studying Bachelor of Applied Science - Majoring in Animal Welfare and Management. After this I will probably move onto vet science...

In the long run I would either like to be a wildlife vet or to move to Canada to help with Wolf conservation...

That's my dream at least 8)

I own a computer company and am the credit manager. That means my husband does the work and I manage to take the credit

I am also a part time medical receptionist.

I edit the FNZAS Aquarium World magazine (but that is an unpaid position)

I would rather be doing as little as possible - with a good book in my hand

I am the national sales manager for a specialist tool company

I would rather have a large plot of land with many reptiles, birds and fish with tropical plants everywhere, people could come and see all the enclosures and plants and buy them at an onsite plant nursery and specialist petshop, just a dream but might just get there someday.

Closest i've seen is Living Art in tauranga, might be hard graft but its a pretty awesome way to spend everyday.

Glass merchant

Like it but get dissapointed with peoples short cuts and not doing things correctly and unfortunatly, in my trade, everyone thinks they can glaze or advise on glass without doing any homework.

Dream job... nothing I enjoy as that would take away the fun from doing them after hours but whatever it is, I dont or would never want to rely on handouts and always produce something that pays my owe way in the world. There are simply too many bludgers and people that think the world owes them a living. In 40 years I (or my family) have never taken a thing from the government other than education and health.... Im really proud of that
