Oh my gosh just watched these 2 videos...LOVED THEM ...first time I saw them:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: The first one could be my Tigger (except he doesn't get on me and doing the kneading thing, but Ginger does that) but doesn't shut up when looking for attention and when that doesn't work he will usually do something he's not supposed to (e.g. get on top of fish tanks!). The second one could have been my beloved Puffball (still miss my baby ). He would cry or jump at the door or window to get in but sometimes when I'd open the door he would just sit there or walk away. I think he was just checking on me sometimes to see if I was home. :lol: Caper

Thanks Sam seems fine. Haven't noticed anything like this since, so thinking might have been some constipation going on and I think you folks are probably right, the color just associated with the food. Caper

Other fish (in this case your guppies) harrassing the goldies will cause stress, as was already stated. When I first started fish keeping was told I could put mollies in with goldfish, one molly constantly chased/harassed them. I had to remove the mollies. Yup, the next thing the goldies had ich. If you are using carbon, don't forget to remove it as it will only end up removing the meds you add. As I stated before, the treatment I used...I followed the directions exactly as stated, as a matter of fact I think I even emailed the company to make sure I was doing it right! Anyway, I do remember the first thing was a water change, the treat (don't remember how long now), water change again, treat...whatever way they said to treat I did it and ich was gone! Caper

Any changes in the fishies' eyes??? Sam (goldfish) is blind. Have not a clue what happened, the only reason I noticed anything was wrong was he wasn't coming right over to me when feeding time. But that's at least a couple of years now! If you look at his eyes with a magnifying glass, it's like, umm, how to describe :-? , well instead of seeing black it looks clear! Caper

What size is the tank? How many fish? Why water changes every third day? Caper

)Well, I just happened to come across this site when I first started to keep fish, hmmm only 4 years now I think :-? The people here were just so kind and welcoming and helpful, etc. etc. No matter where you're from they make you feel like family!!!!! I only spent a weekend in Windsor many years ago when we were visting Toronto and my sister was living in Windsor. I remember they took us (Mom & me) for a drive over to Detroit (came back via tunnel). I remember being scared as at that time it had the highest murder rate! Seeing the police walking with guns and the stick things (can't think of what they are called :oops: ) , it almost seemed like a movie set I love those plants. However I do not keep real plants, too chicken to try plus don't think I'm up to the challenge. If things go good, I'm hoping to set up my 55 gallon tank. Caper

Sorry about your loss How do you know you got rid of it all? Hmmm, the only thing I can think of is, you don't see it anymore on the fish. I treated my tank exactly as per the instructions and then no more problems. I would think that if you didn't get rid of the cysts (I think that's what they are called) you would see the ich back on your fish, what do others have to say??? Caper

My goldfish Sam, already posted about sitting on the bottom quite a bit although not as much lately. Well, yesterday I noticed he was hanging around the top of the tank! Not gasping for air or anything worth noting, until late last night. Poo, long and red looking and from the best I could see was coming from his anus. Although, I was on my way to bed I did a fast browse on the net (re the red poo) and couldn't find anything that would indicate anything serious, other than maybe constipaton, what do you folks think? From what I could tell, there may have been what looked like an air bubble near the end, and if I recall that is an indication of constipation? Although, I really don't get why he was hanging around the top of the tank, and of course would not tell me why!!! I guess what made me more nervous was the fact it looked so red. Caper
