  2. I agree. I have aqua vacs that attach to my tap. I just add the dechlorinator directly to the tank as I start adding in the water. Caper

    Pond cleaners

Now I have no idea the difference between a pond filter and a pool filter. But for an pool, when the filter is running the water if filtered then returned into the pool. Now say at the beginning of the season you would do what was already stated, clean out as much as you could with the net (leaves and other stuff). What we did at the first of the season after doing this we added something (don't remember the name, but probably not safe for fish) that would make stuff "gel" together then when we vacuum we would turn the filter to waste which meant that the water was not going back into the pool but to a hose that led just outside the barn. 17. Sorry you lost your tiger barb! Gee, you see alot of aquariums with those pots in them so I figured they were ok to use, ah I haven't tried them yet! Do you just use regular sandpaper to smooth the edges??? Caper

  20. Whew, thanks glad I got my point across :bounce: It is now summer here, supposedly  we are having a terrible summer (that's why I'm not on as much)! My goldfish tank for the first time ever went below 70F, for the first time ever I had to turn my heat on in July; luckily, I just had to turn it on for a short time though  Caper
  21. Geesh, learn something new all the time here! I didn't know that betta's would eat neons and guppies (excluding the fact that some fish will eat anything it can fit in its mouth!). I thought I had read before that they would go after guppies because of the long tails, so I guess sort of what you were saying Caryl going after fish that were similar to themselves! Caper
