  1. Wow! Thank you so much Tiny. That is really good information. I'll go and do some more research myself on that. I have done a lot of research too, and after a while you just get confused because just as you were thinking one thing, someone comes along and shoots it all down! Husband is currently telling me he can make this himself etc etc for around $500, blah blah. Getting to the point where I wished I never even thought of it! However, any comments still welcome because would love to stop hubby from doing this himself!
  2. Thanks guys! So good to hear from you already. I feel very welcome. Hey, just off topic - have any of you guys got an HRV or DVS or anything similar? I had a guy around today to quote me for one and obviously he was doing the big sell and it all sounds very good etc etc., but what I want to know is - has anyone who has actually spent $3,600 on one thought that they had spent that wisely and it was all worth it? Also, the most important thing is how it works in with gas central heating??? We have gas central heating in a house that is 270sqm and on 3 levels. The heating was put in when the house was built. I absolutely love it. Wouldn't have any other form of heating as I have researched a lot of them, but always come back to the gas central as it is the cheapest, fastest, cleanest and most efficient all over house heating I can find. I am only worried that if I put in an HRV it might fight with it and put drafts around the place. Or failing that, simply just be ineffectual and I'll be wondering what I spent so much money on. Any comments appreciated.... :-?
  3. Been reading a few topics and have finally succummed and registered so I can put my 2c worth in. I'm from Johnsonville Wellington, have a small 80l tank that currently has two goldfish and one plecostamous. We have had several different arrangements in it and these guys are the result of their own culling regime! All seem to be getting on rather well together at the mo. They join the other animals of this house that include 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 guinnea pigs, and 4 humans. Thank you all you existing members for your insightful and at times amusing comments! I look forward to some good thoughtful discussions. 8)
