  1. hrmmm, might want to make a separate poster for each store if you want to go that way, as well as one with every1's logo on it for outside of shops. I'm keen for one for the shop, but I don't know what the boss will think about advertising the competition
  2. in my days we did a couple of things called "learning" and "Work" whats up with sitting in class watching a movie while surfing the net on a phone??
  3. that'll look awesome. I'm the same, got 4 assignments due by the end of the month, only half way through the first, but during that time I have rearranged about 10 tanks, started a breeding tank, done a talk for the BFRC, moved house, bought a new car, fixed up said car........ hrmmm I really should go do some study
  4. wow, you did get bored , do you think there will be any issues with stuff getting trapped in it and rotting???
  5. cool, how is the wall attached to the tank???
  6. I would go for B as with increased trophic omnivory the effects of a predator indirectly affecting a trophic level it doesnt directly prey upon would be reduced
  7. Anthony, please re read what you have posted.... :rotf: :slfg: :sml1: :rotf: :sml1: :slfg:
  8. I would go for Crans bully as its the only one I haven't found around here btw that predator one is really strangely worded
  9. I think its cool how you can watch the hifin swordy growing
  10. combos seem ok, just make sure you go for the smaller species of cory i.e. panda as some can get quite big i.e. the emerald green cory grows past 8cm and you'll need a few to get the cool actions
  11. if your collecting just beware during spraying seasons, especially if you are even slightly rural
  12. it seems to me that this discussion is not only about fish food though, in general we have been overcharged for just about everything for ages, I can buy a bottle fo Marlborough wine in England for equivilent NZ$10, Australia NZ$12, and here I have to pay $25 for it, same with clothing, cheaper to bring in from US or Aussie tnah buy here, heck check out the current Broadband ad on TV, Hungary is 1/2 our prices for broadband. I personally feel that in general We have been taken for a ride for a bit long. :sage: but strangely enough from what I have seen from wholesalers lists (not just pet industry), its not the stores that are the problem (well not ALL stores)
  13. also there is a heap of whiptails that do well in planted tanks,
  14. or could be a bacterial bloom, yet again, uneaten food, reduce feeding, pull out driftwood if possible, rinse under clean water, put back

    Hello :)

I think you'll find many of us are just as mad
  16. sometimes it can be amazing what you can buy in ponsonby.....
  17. thats the thing, I don't think they are taking more than a fair mark up, I have seen many things I can buy overseas cheaper than what I can get it wholesale for
  18. warning, do NOT google planting stick with safe mode off
  19. its a good idea anyway to get your own insurance, just covers you if you do something, know a guy who burned down his first flat, the insurance company is still hitting him up for payment almost 20 years on
  20. to be honest, I'm wondering where the extra money is going, if the shop has a fair markup and the wholesaler has a fair mark up even if they bought them at overseas retail prices then it shouldn't be as expensive as it is.... doesn't make sense to me. it like there is a couple of extra people taking a cut on the way
  21. keeps its colour even in the lowest tech tank
