nice setup. little hint, instead of $20 tweezers, you can get forceps for a reasonable price from a farming store, or even use some chopsticks. -
+1 or use the fish for "fish shots" better to put a good lock on your door attached to a breathaliser

issues... power usage= negligible weight=under 150L doubt if you'll have issues bringing chicks home= love the mood lighting... have fun in your new flat, just don't flood your room, that normally gets frowned on

i'll just keep fiddling and hoping. this tank has taught me heaps so far, didn't even know about the denitifiying bacteria you get in anaerobic conditions in salt water till it started working and im like "why???" now im working on algea growth, think my chitons might have reproduced cuz theres a couple of tiny ones now.... all good signs so far

for your enjoyment.... i've had a few vicious little guys, then again, i've had a lot of peaceful ones.... quote from seriously fish.... but then again I have watched on shred a couple of platies, then go after a severum (who won btw)

I'm finding a lot of websites advocating the use of regular table salt instead of paying more for pure salt as a treatment for diseases. I would have thought the issue with the added Iodine and the anticaking agent sodium silico aluminate would be an issue. anyone have any thoughts on this????

also you would only want one in your tank (and even then it would be pushing it), they are HEAPS bigger fully grown, and get a male, females are quite boring.

hahahaha, too true have had a few people into work asking to modify their ponds that are tiny but deep to keep the fish happy, if they are too deep they need a fence

got me thinking now, might find a small LED lamp and sit it againts the back plastic of my hang on filter, turning the bio grid into an algae scrubber, don't think I need it just yet as the live sand de-nitrifies the water. p.s. found some awesome red algae yesterday, its already clung onto the ground and looks like its growing. found it in a low light area too. hopefully it can out grow what the snails eat
