  2. there no such thing as "the one way" had a Pearl gourami that only ever built a tiny little bubble nest inside pipes at the bottom of the tank, but he was extremely productive. p.s. If anyone has a Pearl gourami around 5-6 years old around that acts like this let me know, I was interested to see if the babies acted the same

  6. you cold place a small strip of LED's aimed directly at it to make a mini scrubber, shouldn't affect the tank lighting too much

  9. yes but somewhere some time someone makes these laws up and a whole group of them go "yay thats a good idea" and then theres the whole pile of people that deal with the law everyday and DONT say"hrmmm thats a bit screwy, lets fix that" plus in NZ , even if theres a major problem and he people get up in arms about something, Very rarely does anything happen about it even with media coverage. Democracy doesn't seem to work here
  10. probably not atm, not enough market to support it (I know, if it was there the market might turn up) and anyway, just as easy to go to wonderworld, only 45mins drive away
  11. I'd be a bit careful about using it in a marine setup unless your 100% sure no copper medications have been used on it (freshwater keepers are not as vigilant on this as marine keepers)
  12. whole pile of the brigittae in the last shipment in, very nice fish, a bit small still and a little bit skinny did you ever have any luck with the erythromicron??? (I haven't read a few pages here)
  13. very nice addition full tank shot now he's settling in???
  14. never heard that one before, though it is probably a good idea to let the tank settle down before adding extra's
  15. most of NZ's fauna are really good at hiding
  16. tell the person in the back ground to get off the FNZAS forum and get back to work
  17. refugium???, lol mines a 21L NZ mudflat tank, the refugium would be bigger than it, it was an experiment that worked and is here to stay (plus all the fish and shrimp and 2 snails are named)
  18. theres still a lot here, you would be surprised at what I've found at several "secret" spots around Tauranga, in the middle of the urban sprawl
