  1. Jadie, some (more expensive) players are much better at not leaving a gap between tracks than cheaper CD players. If I remember correctly the is a gap in the audio CD standard between tracks
  2. you seem to have forgotten &*%#%^, gambusia and trout...
  3. Jaide, I'm intrigued to know what you said now... it seems to have been removed?
  4. Please forgive me for anything I have said in the last 1/2 hour or I do say in the next 3... It's my birthday week (last tuesday) and I've has the man flu for it, and today is the first day that I have been able to drink and SWMBO brought me a bottle of scotch today :nilly:
  5. to me this is starting to sound like parasites or systemic organ failure (from a virus?)
  6. That is what I asked - more or less
  7. Had a tank start leaking after a move to a new stand. a real pita as I had to house fish in a rubbish bin for a week or so.
  8. Good to hear that the fish are good :f77:
  9. I want to know who I have to contact to get my deposit back :digH:
  10. I read it as burning mp3 to an audio CD format :dunno:
  11. Video of bullies spawning on the back of the 430 L native tank, between the back and a powerhead.
  12. It might just be the player adding the pause as it moves to the next track, have you tried the 'skipping' CD in a different player?
  13. I would't trust the faulty one over night. I would just take it out until a replacement was available.
  14. I like the second to last one in the second lot of photos I think
  15. would be more impressive if he did it all in one take...
  16. I think I like the first one the best but none of them sit well with me :digH: I think I would keep thefirst sort of style but move thr large rock the the back and have the smaller one towards the front????
  17. Just had a look in the local peat lake and only found Gambusia
  18. That's interesting as I had three die over winter, two in an unheated tank that got down to about the same temps, and one that never recovered and was lethargic and died a few week later after lifting the tank temp up to 18-20 deg
  19. yep, I'd hire a small (single axle) furniture trailer and buy a couple of cheep strops from the wharehouse etc. and pack well
  20. I would go with the ~1.2 or 1.3 for (dry) sand so 100 to 110kg?
  21. Thermal losses from the tank are going to be the same no matter what the heater size is so there is no real gain from a bigger heater other than it will heat faster
  22. At a rough guess 1.25 to 1.5 x the L. Builders sand is about 1.25 ton/m^3, builders mix is closer to 1.5 - all this if I'm not unforgetting wrong.
