  1. Grant has been doing some searching and found a lot of others with the same problem and it was being caused by Nortons anti-virus. Try temporarily disabling your anti virus and see if that helps. (I know you said you have McAfee) If you have had Nortons it may still be the cause. The latest 2009 version is fine but the earlier ones aren't (including some other anti virus programmes). Another thing that may work is to save the attachments and then open them from the saved folder. Try turning off the email scanner part of the anti virus progamme as this fixes the problem with other anti virus programmes apparently.
  2. Windows mail is known for corrupting its data files and it could well be that this has happened. This commonly shows up with windows mail locking up or crashing when you try to open a mail folder or attachments. It usually happens when you have files stuck in the outbox. Go to www.oehelp.com/wmutil/default.aspx and download a utility called wmutil which does a good job of repairing window mail files when they are corrupted. Try that. We have used it to repair a number of different mail prpblems and it has worlked so far. It is a zipped file so you will have to unzip it first.
  3. Unfortunately there are wild ones - thanks to idiots releasing unwanted pets into our waterway. Wild ones revert to dull colours. You are not allowed to keep any sort of koi in NZ whether it be in a tank or pond. As said, massive fines and/or jail time for those caught keeping koi.
  4. Yours are all bagged with the rest. Had to check which one was you
  5. All bagged up and ready to go on Monday. Thanks to those planning to attend the exec meeting who said they were happy to wait until then. Saves a bit of postage. Tasman and Marlborough will get theirs at their next meetings also (those out of the district will have theirs by post of course). Hopefully there are not too many mistakes
  6. Bud loves ripping into paper and books. Our phone book is now missing much of the cover
  7. I just thought that since you liked to bake you would also like to share your efforts Chips aren't good enough
  8. In that case may I hand your magazines over personally at the meeting? If you don't mind the wait that is What are you bring to share for afternoon tea? 8)
  9. Mahurangi Technical Institute I would guess 8)
  10. If he is attending the exec meeting at the end of the month I can give it to him myself
  11. If it is running well and not got too noisy then leave it alone. No need to replace parts unless they break.
  12. Probably a mix of copepods and mossie bits. Fish love 'em too.
  13. Membership cards have arrived (many thanks Janey). Now the hard work begins. If anyone wants to visit us over the weekend to help compile, fold, staple, address, bag or stamp please volunteer now! You will be supplied with a bed and food! :bounce:
  14. I have not seen 2 sim phones but have ordered a sim from 2 degrees 8) Will have to decide what phone number I want - one I can remember!
  15. E-Mycin only works on cyanobacter, which isn't actually algae.
  16. Flaptop - love it!!!
  17. Smaller tanks can be harder to maintain than larger ones so if you are able to keep a small tank looking good over a long period of time it is a sign of good fish keeping, not the work of a novice at all
  18. It is my understanding the bacteria starts to die off within about half an hour (I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong) but the majority will survive a power cut up to 24 hours if the media is kept wet. After 24 hours, and depending on stocking levels, you may have a mini cycle as the dead bacteria are replaced but water changes and careful feeding for the next 2 weeks ought to be enough to keep things fine.
  19. Bud has his own computer
  20. Sid Smithies used to hang rabbit carcasses over his fish ponds so the maggots dropped in too 8) I don't know whether maggots are good for reptiles or not though
  21. We used to breed some beautiful mauve ones.
