  1. That cage will be fine for one budgie, especially if it going to be let out regularly as well.

Be very careful when cleaning out the filter as you may find a few fry have made their way in there! I have almost lost some down the sink over the years.
  3. How much height does one need to fit the FX5 under the tank and still have plenty of room for maintenance etc? I am thinking of finally getting a 6ft (I'm old, I still think of tanks in feet and inches) x 2ft x 2ft tank and am wondering what height the stand should be too look good with a tank of those dimensions and to fit the FX5 inside.
  4. I suggest you also get your budgie from a breeder rather than the lfs. Only because often the birds in the shop are already too old to train. We got Bud from the breeder, two days after he left the nest. Nov/Dec are when there are a lot on offer.

  15. Well it's 3.27pm she ought to be home by now. How did it go?
  16. Visit another fish club. Participate in a Pet Expo (if there is going to be one locally) Have a tank and pond crawl where you all go and see everyone's set-ups Have a breeding competition
  17. Don't be fooled, cows are vicious! Sorry to hear you were hurt Sliva but obviously you upset the cow in some way so it was your own fault
  18. There isn't one at the moment. Ever thought of starting one? There used to be a club in Whangarei many years ago and I know there are a lot of fish keepers there
  19. Fingers crossed for a successful raising of the fry Simian
  20. Guest speakers (depends on the area. MAF people, DOC, fish 'experts', lanscapers, tank builders etc) Have demonstrations on building tanks, landscape design, basic "how to" set up a tank, making light hoods or tank lids and stuff. Have everyone bring samples of tank and tap water plus any pH kits they have and see if all read the same and what range of pH tanks and taps have. Go on trips to lfs (if you have a selection to choose from), rock pool areas, fish hunts, driftwood collecting. Have BBQs and social outings Have a sales table, auction or swap meet
