  1. I have a 33L with Eheim pickup 2006 and am about to get the same for my 22L. Powerful filters and you can direct the water flow for more or less current.
  2. emerald eyes or some kind of danio hard to tell really Maybe you should pick your big fish first and then think about tankmates.
  3. those are good prices, cheaper than the plant shops
  4. how do you test for Co2?
  5. Do you think they would if they were hidden in a wooden box? My husband wants to make a box for said trough that slides over the top and has a wooden top edge that covers the top plastic edge. You would see a sort of planter box pond rather than a selection of grubby buckets.

  7. you're still welcome to come and have a peep at my fish if your trip coincides with when I'm home,
  8. cardinals like in the picture. If the water is going to be quite brown then it's good to have something you can see
  9. send Supasi a PM and he will tell you what he has available. HFF have a few if you are coming out this way.

So those with dither fish, how many do you need and how does it work? Is it a large shoal that makes the small fish feel safe, or the presence of unscared fish, or bigger fish, or smaller fish than them? I suspect it can't be the presence of bigger fish or people with discus would need huge other fish as dithers?? :dunno: At the store there are some dwarves in with some larger dither fish, 1 inch+ and 3 were sitting at the front of the tank and unmoveable to me waving about like a moron. The mosquito rasbora are the smallest and possibly most appropriate for my 22L tank. Also available by ordering were danio - nigrafaciatus, shanesis and kyathit, though ranging up to twice the price of a rasbora.
  11. I am building up to something bigger 8) . Was scoping out those 120L fish bin type things at the warehouse last night, and deep toy bins. So much plastic to choose from
  12. get on your bike and whizz down to Kings Plant Barn and have a look among their rocks in bags, they are usually with the outdoor ceramic pots. Howick store is big, I'm sure they will have the ones I saw at St Lukes. Also if you have a Central Landscaping Supplies near you, they may have something too.

    New tank

hey what's that fabric you put under the rocks?
  14. mine are in 2 10 litre buckets Jen - do you drop the yeast straight in or do you dissolve it first?
  15. Do you mean breed as in Breeder style-collecting eggs and growing in seperate tanks etc, or a community of them in a planted tank style such as what I have with the scheeli? If the latter suits you then I am looking for another small fish when my scheeli have moved on. If you are keen for a proper breeding person then I couldn't do that. what killi book is it?
