  1. Thank you both. :happy1: Many of those healthy plants were healthy from Jen to start with!
  2. See, you could have another tank after all.... outside there is another 'nother realm of fishy possibilities. One just has to keep them tidy or 'people' can object. My husband now wants to build me an outside bug trough as he is sick of looking at my bucket collection
  3. ooh cool, and good luck Joe, it's taken a while but I think at least one of my buckets is now self-sustaining.
  4. Hmmmm, so what do you give to the pond who has everything? This guy!

    Shellie tank

You might like to have a word with mine then, it grows tendrils straight up. Am waiting to see what the stuff in the cory tank does, whether it behaves or not.

    cory and others

Yes they are a cute little fish. I have never seen them at HFF but I will keep an eye out. Not that I need an excuse to go there any more often

    Shellie tank

do you trim your moss or is it growing compact and tidy on it's own?

Did you pick them based on size alone? If so then Mosquito rasbora may also be suitable, they are smaller in length and thickness than the cories. I also like those galaxy rasbora but I've seen only a few and they were quite expensive I thought.

    cory and others

I would get more of the same cory or another little one but it seems that I got some that don't get stocked often. I also thought that the sparkling gourami (in the shop at least) has similar colouring to the cories so thought it would be less threatening to them than the bright orange tetra. They aren't afraid of the shrimps at least. hmmmm

    cory and others

Are corydora the kind of fish that like dither fish floating about above them? Am wondering if I got a few ember tetra or some sparkling gourami to go with my dwarves if that would make them more or less shy? Generally I think they are a fish that don't like big movements outside the tank, but I'm wondering what others have kept with them that brought them out more. Other than more corys that is.
  13. I might get some though
  14. it's been too long since I ate one of those
  15. I have seen Trichopsis pumila/sparkling gourami and unless they grow, they are considerably smaller than a betta with it's fins out. Also if you want colour like red you won't get that. They are very cute though.
