  1. Very impressive!, whats the surface rating?
  2. Nope no thermostat on these, the cable reaches 34dgc and mounted above that is a large tile to evenly disperse the heat, in effect i covers approximately 1/3 of the tank. The ambient temp gets to about 27dgc, the cable are on timers so that at midday there off for a few hours. The footprint of the individual enclosures is 800x400 leaving plenty of space to move away from the heat.
  3. Being an Aussie living here, some of the best times iv had are watching a game with kiwi mates as we bag each others team out. I love both countries for different reasons. I would like to think it was more of a tough love kind of relationship.
  4. Would you like some black with that yellow! Nice
  5. Im in recovery, the withdrawals don't stop......
  6. Slater's fill a massive part of my lizard's diets.
  7. Last year i caught so many, now i cant find one! ill give your idea a go.
  8. I feel sick, that woman need's be put down not the cat!
  9. :gigl: I don't know where i stand on that, id like to think that they where euthanized not released to colony's but on the same hand i'm having trouble keeping native birds in my yard when it's full of sparrow's, myna, thrush and black birds. These bird species do far more damage imo to the native population than cats do and removing the "suburban" colony cats may make that worse (undoubtedly). I 100% agree that restricted areas need be put in place as to where a cat's can be kept. I have the feeling as much as my hatred for Gareth effects my clarity that this has become more of a cat haters war rather than environmentalists fight.
  10. I was thinking the same thing but if you listen to the radio recording it makes more sense. One comment that stood out is less than 1% of a Colony or pet cat's diet is native birds and feral cats (born and reared in the wild) are euthanized not released. Research (stated by Bob) indicates only 50% of domestic cats hunt.
  11. I feed pretty much everything that comes into the house (given goggle search doesn't reveal anything adverse).
  12. The TNR policy is the stupidest thing iv heard of. If the SPCA want to look even the slightest bit intelligent they need to shut Bob Kerridge up.
  13. Im using sphagnum moss for hides (less messy than vermiculite), but would use vermiculite for laying.
  14. A longitudinal i got from dragonz a few weeks back.
