Towards other gecko's yes, but even females can be.

Leopards are the go, easy to care for relatively easy to hand tame, enclosure only needs to be a standard 24"x12" foot print and can be decorated to your liking, faeces is left in a chosen spot and relatively scent free. No requirement for uv, just a tempered spot. Given you will become an addict there are some nice new varieties popping up for the future collection.

Yabbies in Australia change colour to the water, most will come out of a dam black or brown but after a few moults will become bright blue.

Plastron was slightly dome yet quite broad with very smooth scutes.

Id call HFF, if there is a breeder left they can get the fish for you.
