Hi There, The jebo filters come with a green spray bar and in my opinion are not that intrusive or offensive, but why not use tape or timber and put a "Clashing strip round your tank and situate the spray bar at the front of the tank or the back so that the water is just lapping at the top edge of it. it also makes a good indicator on when to top up if you have them at the top as the spray hitting the water surface causes bubbles. B

So, if the details are correct then both events will be happening the same weekend. That seems a bit silly really, as people will miss out somewhere along the lines, I would see if one or other could be moved to another weekend. B IMO

no idea on prices but have seen them in animates many times, might pay to just ask them if they could get some in for you. B

I would tend to go with swim bladdr aswell, but will re-evalueate once I have seen the clip. We had a fish that seemed it had swim bladder problems, as it used to scoot around the bottom of the tank on it's belly and lunge up for food, she kept eating, and seemed happy enough so we left her, and now she has moved onto another tank with friends who enjoy her aswell. B

liquid nails and untreated ply with the stain of your choice on it. Or you could use stainless tek screws and get that industrial feel and then just use satin chrome handles. B

The other upside to having a cannister filter is the fact that if/when you decide to upgrade tank size you will have a filter already that will more than likely be fine for a larger tank. Saves a little on the expense of upgrading your hardware to suit the new tank size. B

Hi There, We run cannister filters on practically all our tanks, love, easy to clean, keeps the water crystal clear and less hardware to be seen in the tank. And people are always saying better to over filter than under filter ( or was that just ira :lol: ) I have previously run a Jebo 815 ( 800litres an hour if I remember correctly ) on a 180litre tank, and it kept the water crystal clear. B

SiliconeU?? never heard of it, we stock and sell the 202 clear and you can't miss it as it has 202 down the front of the label, so not to sure whenther it would be safe or not. Have a look here and see if you can find it http://www.holdfast.co.nz/products/sealants/index.htm if you find it let me know as we might have it as something else and I might know the details for you. I tend to agree with antwan, but i have found and this is personal experiance, that my plattie fry have always headed for the surface, but then i was supplying alot of cover at the top. So all said if you have no plant for them to hide in at the top then it is prob plattie fry. B
