it'll overflow once the poly box fills up. but itll overflow onto the strategically placed plastic thing. lol. when I got home, it was right at the brim waiting to overflow, lol. i might put them in bigger poly boxes it doesn't cost to put filters in a poly box or bucket or something similar (as long as its shorter than the filter so the wires don't get wet and then the carpet is the least of your worries) and could save everyone with a tank a lot of time, hassle and not to mention money. :bounce:

I did the weekly wc on my tank today, and cleaned my 2 fluval 405's, put in some new media stuff etc.. then i had a 3-5 lecture today, and so i went for that. just came back and saw the tank was missing water! its usually filled up to the brim freaked out cause this sort of thing does not happen to me. Luckily I always have a backup plan just in case of the unexpected - the water filled up in the container, and the carpet is undamaged. phew. turns out i didn't seal the top of the filter down properly. so a very small amount of water was escaping. that was close. Moral of the story- Keep your filters in poly boxes! LOL :oops: (and make sure the filters have been sealed properly)

t5's produce brighter light per watt. (i think) you cant compare t5's to MH's cause they both use different amounts of power in Watts. basically it seems you get more bang for your buck with t5 HO's. the standard 4ft T5 HO tube is 54W, and you need 2 of them = 108 Watts. that's the power consumption. MH's Watt rating depend on the individual bulb. HTH

Thanks guys. I was looking at the L052 and now am very confused. they look identical down to the last detail. except for some colouration dots found on the L052's face.

they are rated upto 400L so I'd get another one too, or an FX5, lol. more filtration is always better, and your fish will thank you for it how many, and what sort of fish were you going to have in the tank?

another flower? some people just have all the luck ha ha. i thought seeds came from fruit. fruit come from flowers. (I never did like bio of plants).

what are the parameters in the water like. when was the last water change? it could either be that he knocked himself on the head (off the glass or something) or a swim bladder disorder. what are you feeding them?
