  1. 300 is a pretty average power bill is it not? 'tis for me any how. what I meant was the cost of the tanks would be like 50 a month in power.
  2. Sounds like the gas bottle wasn't the only flame that needed putting out  But that is seriously scary. Why did it happen?
  3. No, you can get good DP pics. You just have to know how Clown loaches. Now they are a challenge.
  4. Should be fine. I use a substrate that is a LOT larger, and I get by just fine.
  5. Yeah, that's a sensible thing to do. Put your lively-hood at risk for a measly 50 bucks a month.
  6. How old is your green spot puffer? (It will eventually need the transition to a fully marine tank) I know someone who has a true brackish tank for her fig 8 puffers, and the cloudiness was a real mystery. Took a few months (3+) and it went away on its own. Nothing she did resolved the 'problem' which turned out to not be a problem in the end any how.
  7. Best to treat it, but in all likely-hood; from what I have seen, it won't be detrimental to the fish.
  8. breathe..... push! legend hahaha
  9. Hmm.. Red Rose x Ozelot. I sold some pups on here a while ago.
  10. Well yeah, you can buy just the eggs and then hatch them in salty water. Takes 24 hours @ 28C with strong aeration. I think you get like an entire test tube like bottle full of them. lasts forever because you only ever need a tiny tiny amount.
  11. Sure they do! I bought mine from Animates. $18 I think for eggs you need to hatch. But now I buy mine from "dorl" on TM. Decap stuff too, so you don't need to hatch it, just soak it in water before you feed it to the fish.
  12. Use a flash light to search for eggs.
  13. Your fish died because of dropsy, not a pH swing There is nothing wrong with pH 6.6; it in fact is a lot better than pH 7.
  14. I'd recommend reading about them before you buy one first. There is a care sheet in the reptile section. Also, a beardy and a BT will need a 4ft tank as well, so assuming a 4ft tank is a limiting factor for you; you might have to rethink on that front as well.
  15. They can, or an X-Ray as the males have testicles and females have ovaries. Then you can have a simple DNA test done too.
  16. Not always! mmmmmmm cupcake
  17. Hope he is doing alright now! Wish you a speedy recovery Jim!
  18. I'd just say it was a figment of her imagination. I like cup cakes. Would be well worth it
  19. A 14000K halide will grow plants just fine. Ferns in particular do quite well under it.
