  1. They do it every week without fail. When the babies start latching on to the parents the cardinals start eating them. I have fat cardinals.
  2. There. Tank is more open now. Much more open. (Pics taken about 5 minutes ago)
  3. Just starve it, and keep feeding the other fish what you normally feed them. He'll get the idea soon enough. Took mine a week or so. But soak the food before you feed it to them.
  4. They are sooo tasty! Wild types are soooo much better as well. Same with Tilapias! But -
  5. Aw sorry to hear that! What are your phosphate : nitrate levels at? How well is your skimmer working too?
  6. Hi! Those lights run on 12V DC so you'll need a transformer / adapter for the lights too. But a couple of people on here use LEDs on an african tank. Results seem positive from what I have read. Have a search for "Firenzenz" and LED in the search bar. I think that might bring up something.
  7. More plants at the back would look great; but in a while you should have your sword plant growing more and more leaves I love the wood.
  8. It's more like a "this is what they should be fed on". Don't feed them shrimp tabs now. They are not hypans. Hikari pleco wafers have wood in them and are good for panaques. I feed fresh courgette as it is less messy.

  10. Jeepers. Send that fat one to kiwiplymouth
  11. I've got every possible spectrum of HO lights and the powerglos are the brightest....
  12. powerglos! what plants you got?
  13. So you have a HO hood? If so, I personally love the powerglos! I think they are brilliant for both fish colour and plant growth. Its amazing.
  14. The GLO tubes are HO tubes. If your hood is a normal T5 hood, I am unsure if they will work or will be good for either the hood or the tubes. Also the GLO tubes are 36" and 39W each at that size IIRC.
  15. It looks much much finer and nicer!
  16. Cories would probably be your best bet. Geos would almost certainly uproot everything. I reckon kuhli loaches would like that sand too. Eels might just uproot everything when they burrow I guess. That sand is really nice too. Is it daltons?
  17. I used to hate the very thought of mating offspring together. But with fish I suppose it doesn't matter too much (genetically speaking however there are many drawbacks). In the animal kingdom I believe it is worse to breed cousins together than it is to breed siblings together. Never breed more genetically complex organisms to siblings though - eg. dogs, cats, humans
  18. They look to be from a pro II series. A clearer pic from the other side would make me certain.
  19. Yeah, little female is absolutely beautiful! Bright yellow and absolutely perfect in every way. That goat thing is almost like what happened to my little guys.
