Great to see so many ideas... this is what we have come up with. 1) Trademe auctions, donating the money of the auction. 2) Animal Sponsers-> This would work better if there was a web site, mayby someone who can you the net could do this? Then you list the animals like a native animal with a sponser or a donate button... either a monthly transaction of $10 or one of deposit of $10. Money transfer, check, cash or credit card. This way advertisment of the park would be easier, local tourits destinations... and so on 3) work bee... People donate their time to help fix up of the park e.g tuck shop, playground... 4) Wharehouse... Normally they have fundraise barbes that you can use... good few hundread dollers in that. If everyone on a satday organise to go to the locall wharehouse and do the barbey... 5) large corprates... if someone could draft a letter and send it to large companys like BP, Farmers, Shell and so on and in return and bit of PR...

I cried after watching the clip... There are two hard working people who have donated their lives to what they love. They have over 600 animals!!! now that is a huge commitmant, some of us complain about cleaning out a tank once a week but look at these two. Every day rain or shine out there cleaning and feeding and educating visitors. I wish that the government would step in a donate to the cause, they look after their animals as if they where their own children. Anything I can do just pop us a PM, I dont mind looking after some of your animals until you get back on your feet. I have PM you... Good luck and I hope that it all comes through...

well i keep L14 L27 L47 L128 L81 L25 So i do have a fair care on the up keep. With the Medusa pleco they need a protein diet, this may consist of muscles, prawns or blood worms (and so on) This creates a major mess. Then add to the fact that they are a pleco and they are generally messy. This all adds up to poor water and fast. As they are delicate they need a constant and steady water peramaters. So daily water changes keep these in check. Just my opinon.

One way is the loach family. They love them, but your tank is too small id say. You can purchase bottled liquid that kills them off, also snail traps. They are so easy to get but impossable to get rid of them. To prevent further introductions search the leaves of plants for the eggs, if your getting wood or a ornament from a tank boil it. The same with gravel too.

I have 2 royals and have moved them into my reo tank, So its a 150 Liters with a fluval 4 and a internal running on the tank so lots of filtration. I have 4 L114 aswell (all babys) I know that royals need wood for their digestion. I hate the tanning in the water though, how do i remove it?

It will be hard with the ban but they where banned around 4 years ago... You would have to find a wholesaler with them, Then get CITES sorted, then get them into the country alive, get them through Q, then find someone willing to pay $800-$1000 per fish...

I work with a store, do you know any wholesalers that still deal with them. Chris sold up all of his stock...
