also need to rember that these animals where caught over 30 years ago, this is when Lion and tigers where kept in tiny cadges where they paced everyday back and forth. So animal rites where not really as they are today. After an animal has been kept for a few years in captivity or even a few weeks, it is hard to be able to release them back into the wild. They come reliant on us to feed and care for them. I could admit they are sometimes kept in minimum legal/moral conditions.

AUZ only allow one pleco on the whole list. They just simply dont want them.

if you kept the water slightly warmer would they grow and mature faster? Just thinking that same with frogs? if you had a underfloor heater in the tank would that make their metabalism go faster?

A 4ft tank is great space to play with when keeping plecos. It all depends on what you are willing to spend. You can get some VERY neat plecos for $100-200 These are on the lists so ask your pet store to order them for you if wanted.... L52 L47 L128 (big and small) L30/90 L14 L81 I reckon mayby a colony of L52 and a L47 would be neat, with s large school or penguin/cardinal tetras, a nice school of tiger barbs. Lots of wood and a few sections of plants. All depends on your budget and what your wanting to have your tank looking like... I have a nice big collection of Ls and would never regreat buying them...

I have a septic tank. If approved by MAF then it will go into that. If not I will get a 500 liter drum, burry it and run a connection to the building so water can go into that then be treated according to MAF.

Living Art is on the money... I am doing to plan at the moment, thats why I am looking for a builder ATM. I didnt plan on using it as a sole income, just for the enjoyment really. I never said just arrowanas, but i know there is a risk in every business. My Father does planning law and what not, so i know all the permits i need. I also know about what Maf licences are needed and what not. Just looking for a builder.

Thanks for all the help. I am after a builder that will do everything so I simply dont have to worry. I planned on getting in the phone to MAF today, it would be great if the sold a Kit ay... That would be great, just wanted to post here in case any fish experts where builders and could help me on this. They would understand more in detail then a builder may. I am not sure on the equipment yet. I need to get costs all sorted because I need to do a business loan from the bank. (looking for between 40-50k) and thats a fully licenced import room.
