  1. He's just being an exhibitionist. He was standing there yelling, "My cloaca! Look at it! LOOOK AT IT!" Then fell asleep.
  2. That's tropical temps, not coldwater. Thats perfect for them.
  3. I use the freezer method. You're not freezing them while they're still alive. Unless maybe you throw them in a really tiny container of water. I've run a couple tests dropping the temperature of the water while measuring the temp with a thermometer. Checking on the fish every few minutes. On big SA cichlids, which I'd expect to handle the temperature drop better than smaller fish all signs of light stopped around 10 degrees. After holding there for about 15 minutes to confirm no signs up life I brought them back up to tank temperature slowly to see if they would revive. In no cases did they come back to life. All cases showed no obvious signs of strees, by thrashing around in the container. There mzy be a hybernation temperture that would be idel.

    Flabbergasted

You're going to have to help me with the proper pronunciation of :f77:
  5. I doubt it. Note all the references to making bookings only after 2010, all the pictures are CGI, etc. Either a hoax, a project for some kind of design school or a way overly ambitious company proposal that failed.
  6. No boom? Then you're ok. :slfg: No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow.
  7. They've probably got about a 2/3 blueram sized stomach each then.
  8. Double check it's 230v before plugging it in though.
  9. I don't know what kind of plecos you have, I'm assuming bristlenoses. They can easily eat an entire tiny fish like a blue ram overnight.
  10. Probably. Unless it's not. Just put it in the tank with a rock on top if it's not.

    Noisy FX-5

And if everything seems fine buy a new impeller. They are a wear item.
  12. Orange, black, silver and I think I see a little bit of blue. Can you tell what number this says? It's a test for color blindness.
  13. I've heard rumors of it, but I've never used anything but the forum.

    mosquito help.

Feed them ALL the larvae. If they get really full and won't eat anymore then the larvae will just float around the tank until they do get eaten.

    mosquito help.

Wait. Eventually they'll come to the top and you can net them.
  16. I use a 6000LPH Laguna PJ5000 to pump the water out of my tank. Runs a single hose reasonably well, but not nearly enough pressure/flow to run the whole irrigation system.
  17. Hmmm, not much to see but ok. Asparagus garden Brocolli, lettuce, some tomatoes, a couple chillies. I think there are some peas and stuff in the weeds... Strawberries under the white thing, blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and peppinos? The lemon, apple, more berries, cherry, grapes etc up this way. It's hot outside, I didn't want to walk all the way over there to take pics. Some weeds that overrun everything around them. I didn't water these, but they're looking nice.
  18. 4 chillies, 2 dozen broccollis, 4 blueberries, 2 grapes, 3 lemon trees, an apple, apricot, pear and plum tree, 4 passionfruits, and 2 ferns watered with the water change I'm halfway through now.
  19. I either use a pond pump to pump the water out of the tank through an irrigation system in my veggie gardens or just siphon into buckets and into the garden.
  20. I wonder how well these would work? On das verboten site 2X15watt units, 60° beams for $116. Need a 12-24v power supply too though.
  21. They were good when I used them years ago. But I vaguely remember that they've stopped selling to the public and only sell to businesses now.
  22. The electric blue is very blue.
