  1. Pearl Jam's "rearveiw mirror" (a bit late I know!), Pink Floyd Live one from the 60's (don"t remember the name), AC/DC Live, and Led Zep's "song remains the same"(again). Rollergirl I saw Pink Floyd at Western Springs in 1985(ish) They were great.I did lose a few (too many?) brain cells around that time though..lol
  2. When driving in this rain and gloom,, PLEASE.... turn your lights on,remember kids, park lights are for parking/unattended vehicles not for when the car is moving.
  3. I got it to. And no hard feelings Lynn. These things happen
  4. I can share your excitment, good one. Hope it goes well! HAVE PATIENCE setting up.
  5. The best fish is the one(s) YOU like best, as long as your tank is big enough to house them! Glow lights will school with neons ,adding a bit more colour, Pearl gouramis are gentle and a nice feature in med. size tank. Visit LFS and see what is there. Some people like a large mass of the same type of fish with one or two larger feature fish and a couple of bottom cleaners, others seem to want at least one of everything!! New tank... the choice is all yours, remember different species can require different water conditions and filtration rates.
  6. What channel? Might go out to see it.
  7. watching bits on youtube, very cool. I would love to see the whole doco. but don't have Sky. Shows how perfectly manacured plants and sparkling clear water is NOT a natural enviroment. Makes me feel a bit better having crud in my tanks.
  8. Boobies, fish tanks....hmmm...I sense a calender idea! lol
  9. Back to the topic.... I have a timer on my Fronnie grow on tank lights, 13hrs on , I also put some small E. Yellows with them to show them how to eat! (thanks Gaven, the fish are all well) they are gradually becoming less and less skitterish. Hopefully by the time I move them into the big tank they will stay out where I can see them!
  10. Also ,think of the surface area / volume ratio of your water
  11. Tall tanks are a pain to maintain, I had one 700 tall and had to use a step ladder to stand on so I could siphon the gravel. Malawis that I have, seem to prefer hanging around the structure in the tank , they dont seem to spend a lot of time near the surface, with no plants tall malawi set ups can look a bit odd if you don't build up structure in the background.IMO

  18. When I looked after Oscars they used to lip lock and worse I thought two males were trying to kill each other they had ripped lips and missing bits of fin and skin.... then they spawned! One was female after all. Sometimes what looks severe to us may just be a way for the girl to see if her bloke is really man enough! lol
  19. Dazed and Confused (Describes the decade of my life between 15 and25) , Led Zep One of J. Pages best guitar work. Live on The Song Remains The Same. Also listening to Springsteens "The Seeger Sessions" Cool old Bluegrass/folk/gospel American roots music. good to singalong and blow the harp with!
  20. I lost/dropped my wallet a while ago. Cancelling then replacing all the cards and drivers licence was a real pain. Hardest part was finding my birth cert. !! Don't forget to cancel your library card! There are scumbags around. My Sympathies.
  21. I had a large single female Auratus that smashed all the mbuna and hap tankmates ,even the biggish breeding giraffes. Only the biggest blue dolphin could stand up to her. They can get nasty! (maybe just frustrated!)
  22. Welcome, Gilly...you want some Red Top Ice Blue Zebra?
