Are Mum and Dad Ram still being good parents? Photos would be cool
  10. They are still really dark, like they still have their tadpole colours, I will check them out when they change colour and see which ones they are. What ever they are, my parents have a pond about 20 metres round full of them lol
  11. lol I was hoping like heck that no one was going to ask what sort of frogs they are  They are the green ones that are very common in ponds etc lol that is all I know and yes the males croak Great idea with the slaters lol the children can go on a slater hunt

  13. And they are evil looking things too the nymphs. Nature never ceases to amaze me, how do beautiful dragonflies come from such evil little critters lol
  14. Hi guys and Gals We collected some tadpoles for my sons kindy and the first one is now a frog, I have a good supply of Wingless fruit Flies, are these ok for the frog to eat to start with or do we need normal flies? The kindy won't be keeping them but they would like the children to be able to watch them for a little while so they can see how they eat etc and they will then be getting put back in to my parents pond that they came out of

    Hello everyone

Hi Nathan, welcome to the forums
  16. I love my danios, they are collectively known as "the headaches" lol cos they give you a head ache if you try and watch them all darting around lol They have gorgeous long fins now and they are the fish I am least likely to part with
  17. Sounds interesting Sorry for my ignorance, but what do they do there? And where is it located? I could be interested in going
  18. Thanks for the replies guys The Angel is still quite small and I have had him/her since it was VERY small and the neons have been in there the whole time. Although I am not seeing any molly or guppy fry so I assume that the angel is the most likely fry muncher lol The neons are what is left of a much larger school  I am kinda just waiting for the remaining ones to suck the kumara and then I will not bother with them again. The leopard danios are the very first fish I got and I love them to bits, they are very entertaining to watch and they have never bothered to annoy any of the other fish, just each other lol they play tag The Harlequin rasboras are the ONLY fish in the tank my partner likes lol so they have to stay  The problem I have is that I get very attached to my fish and I will find it very hard to get rid of any body lol and NO another tank is not a possibility  I will read up on the congo tetras and maybe when the neons meet their demise I can look at getting rid of the mollies to and get some of those
  19. 3 or 4 weeks? Perhaps it is time to put the poor things out of it's misery?
  20. I am not sure if it is the done thing but I have some guppies outside in a pond with some comets for summer and they are very happy. Their colours look amazing since going outside and they are breeding like... well... like guppies lol. They only thing would be that perhaps the comets, if they are of a decent size, they may attempt to eat your feeder guppies before they get to the axies poor little guppies though
  21. Very nice Mark As an aside, the little feathered critter we got from you when we were down there has settled in very nicely, has whislting sussed, a few different ones and hopefully talking is the next step. He loves a good scratch and smooches lol and he is a HUGE attention seeker lol He was named Echo by my son Thanks so much for an awesome visit, not sure who enjoyed it more.... me or the kids lol
  22. What absolutely stunning birds Great photos Caryl, thanks for sharing
