  6. your landlord is an idiot He has an asset worth say 2 o3 houndred thousand and it has a problem... Is he responsible for your stuff.... I would guess that you would have to prove it beyond reasonble doupt and at a guess I would say that I dont think you will get much luck... he could argue that the windows should have been opened more and that you have helped distroy his asset by not venterlating the house Yes, I am playing devil advocate but if I was you I would vacate the place urgently and get your bond back first before playing hardball

PM sent What type of Killis did you get?
  8. about 22 types of killis
  9. Ive had birds all my life and in general stress is the biggest killer. Warmth and company are the biggest "friends" to most young birds. Dont forget that love birds are a comunity type of bird and being alone will be totally against what it feels in natural
  10. if you are using Mirror glass, you must use non-acidic silicone. The acidic silicone eats into the silvering

And that it maybe help reduce UV from the natural sunlight Glass reduces UVa by around 40% Laminated glass by 99% Some reflective glasses can reduce by a bit more. When I mention reflective glass I am talking about REFLECTIVE glass and NOT tinted Tinted is often used as the offcuts are quite often less saleable as is reflective
  18. Barrie replied to Andrew_W's topic in Technical
the reflective side is put to the lighted side (ie: the inside) Is is made by attaching ions to the surface of the glass. Some ions wont accept silicones very well at all so you will not get any sort of garenttee. They work of reflected light so the vision into your tank on bright days or when the room is well lite will be reduced and from certian angles, will look a bit reflective
  19. No Puffer You have and are showing that you are prepared to go without and to get ahead that way. I (as were most ) was in the same or similar possition as you. It is a struggle but you get ahead in the long run. On one place, Coromandel, I paid 29.5% interest but knew it was going to be worth while in the long run. The only way people can get ahead and keep it legally is to do the hard yards and go without Good on you, Im sure you will have a happy life
  20. I now no longer send out accounts to people that sound young exactly because of some of the above comments... They dont care that the unpaid account is how I feed my family... its the whole lack of honour and self pride that enables them to not bother paying that $100 account. Nowdays it COD and if Im still a bit concerned, payment before delivery in full. I honestly wish I could still trust people but no. The whole attitude seems to be one of trying to con others out of payment or product. That is the only thing that spoils NZ (and probably half the rest of the world)
  21. That Reef is the most important reason that student loans need to be paid back. Each and everyone of us needs to learn that lesson for sure and the earlier people learn it the better off they are
  22. Good on you Luke Well done
  23. been a member for 5 or 6 mags and have written 2 to be honest Thanks for clearing that up for me
  24. I simply love Christmas... says me a 56yo grandfather to me its Brenda and I and youngest daughter (Shinal 17) Middle daughter Lizzette (29) and her son this will be his first Christmas and Liz's husband Eldest daughter Corin (32) and her son and daughter (3 and 6 almost) and Philip her husband. The day is spent eating far too much and drinking way too much. We all fit into a 2 bedroom place (ok we do have a poptop camper and a tent) The next week or two is spent fishing, diving, hikeing, goldpaning and exploring rock pools as well as heaps of other things... we are all together and having fun That to me is Christmas
  25. Caryl On page 29 of the Mag you mention that "you cant attend the FNZAS conference" if you dont write. Im sure that the original statement was along the lines of beds ? Could you please confirm one way or another so that I can either make my place available (being Queens Birthday) or do what we normally do and have my family down there... If Im unwelcome thats fine but please clearify as I simply cant be bothered being held to ransom and will do my own family things over that weekend
