  4. Caryl Do you secretly live in South Auckland?
  5. a sure sign of killis haveing a Ph problem is when they stop eating and laying... you will find the Ph low and would need to add oyster shell to a filter

    killie eggs

anything from zero eggs to 40 odd eggs the next day... large killis may well lay even more
  7. one of NZ's biggest problems is that no-one takes responibilty of actions. Kids are let off because they are kids whereas their parents should have to take responsibilty for them and have to pay for the kids wrong doing. This will get a few of you going but its not meant to do so... Student LOANS are exactly that. They are a loan and when some-one takes a loan, they have to pay it back or it would be called a gift or hand out. People in general take no responsibilty for them selves or their kids. I belive that there should be no "limited liability" companies for instance and that a dept should stay untill paid back in total. These kids that stole the pony should be held (or their parents) accountable for their actions and maybe should have to work the cost of the damage off or stay with them and their parents untill it is paid off. This would mean no overseas trips and not hire purchase or mortages
  8. a friends son was driving north near Waipu and a wonam behind was txting, she rearended him and pushed him in front of an oncoming truck. He was killed. The person RESPONSIBLE(?) will be unlucky if she gets a $500 fine and loss of license. My friends sentance is no grand kids and the rest of their lives without their son... the laws are screwed up. At least the police can still issue tickets even if the people getting them dont pay
  9. normally the cups would last for 3 years but if there not used much and there for the cups are not getting movement, maybe 2 years
  10. TM They are the almost the best (and the ones that we use) but number one for at least double the price is battery operated as they have a sensor that will start the vacume if it feel less presure
  11. great price but no where as much suction as the single cup pump ones. The rubbers slowly go hard and loose their ability to hold onto glass for anything but a few seconds so be aware of that. I dont know of anyone in the trade that would use them to be honest as after a while they are just far too dangerous If I was you, spend the $$ on something else and keep in good with a glazier

  20. if the fry " love " micros, expect them to dance with BBS what fry are you feeding?
  21. Bedazzled BBS is a great food for fry and indeed for most small fish. As I mentioned, I hach it out twice a day and feed it to at least half my tanks that Im breeding from. There are places to buy the eggs from about $60 or $70 per tin and a tin last all my tanks well over 6months so its at a cost of maybe 20cents a day. With also feeding white worms and Micro worms and other live foods when I can get them. my weekly food bill is probably $2 to $3 per week and thats for 47 tanks... now that has to be cheap eh

    Glass cutters

just sent by email large file so hope your on broad band
  23. depending on size a piece of 6mm 900 x 400 has a retail of over $60 but as Cic has mentioned, phone around and see if there is either 2nd hand or see what a few companies charge My own company would charge $40 as our retail for new glass in 6mm
  24. they are a waste of time to be honest How much are you wanting to hatch and do you have a spare airline? Send me your email (PM) and I will send you they way I do it... Ideally, you would want the temp to be 26 or a little higher.I hatch mine at about 24 because that suits my system. I feed BBS twice a day 7 days a week
