  1. I live in Beach Haven, so powercuts are commonplace. The reason I was the ball valve is so that if I need to cust off flow to the Sump, I can (Via the overflow)
  2. Well, tank went on the stand last night @ about midnight, had to 1/2 destroy the stand, but oh well. Time to go to Plumbing World on Wednesday to try and get the sump sorted. Do I need to bother will a ball valve, or will I be better off just plumbing it in directly? And, standard PVC piping is sweet?

  4. I think bryan @ origin was saying something about his mollies - They were randomly dying after being imported / bred in. Not sure if they were imported, but apparently a lot of shops had the same problem..
  5. i've currently got chronic alge problems, possibly caused by crappy lights, over-feeding, high phosphates, or bad beach haven water. Credit cards ++
  6. BGKs will eat neons. Pantadon Butterflies will eat baby danios. Make sure there is some surface adgitation. IF YOU THINK YOU NEEED TO DO A WATER CHANGE, DO IT THEN!

  15. 2x Clowns 3x Fire Gobies / Firefish 1x Bicolour Blenny 1x Flame Angel 3x Chromis 1x Bangaii Cardinal And eventually a Manderin. Updated fishlist. am i now overstocked? Chromis go first.....
  16. Any other fish that inhabit the top part of your tank will get very close to the pantadon's heart.
  17. !twirl! I hope to be getting rid of my old tank tonight, and start cutting into my old tank ready for the changearound next weekend... I so happy *dance* Got my skimmer on Thursday, got a pump sorted on Tuesday.. SO HAPPY.

  19. Buy some plumbing tape. avalible fron any hardware store. Put it TIGHTLY around the screw join, and problem should be fixed instantly
  20. i'm no expert, but it looks similar, and was told by staff that it was an NZ native, and they weren't sure what it was called.
  21. I think they currently have one in HFF Albany, on the marine tank on the RHS.
  22. 2nd hand, you would be looking at around $1000. Go with 2nd hand skimmer, lights, etc, but make sure you get new pumps, as if a pump fails, you loose everything....
