  7. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/tank-m ... 16692.html Check that thread out
  8. Have a look in DIY projects. Tank Man (I think) made a tank for the Wellington airport, perhaps contact him? Filtration directly from stream& back into tank would solve problems of cooling the water, water flow, and filtration. Just have to be carefull getting the water out again. Overflow filter? I would use low level aquarium lighting to show off the fishes colours. And how big? 8foot + i hope!

  18. Best way of getting muck outta substrate - Pillow case!. (and hose) Pref. not one that you need to use later though
  19. From what i've found out they are bred & imported. intrestingly, my two senegals are never more than 15cm away from each other, see what happens as they develop
  20. no quick way, i'd have a couple of spare filters to filter out all the muck running on the tank, even if they are just internal filters stuffed with filter wool. Leave some ugly yellow stuff in there in a corner or a fine layer at the bottom for biological filter, or you may have problems. Wrinse the gravel out beforehand, and then as you are getting the water out, wash the gravel in the dirty water.
  21. Anything that could possibly be conted as "food" gets eaten with mine Colourbits, flake, fingers, bloodworm, etc etc
  22. From what i've read & seen, 30cm is max for aquarium fishies. 50cm wild.
