  1. Pictures are rubbish. Tank is terribly badly scratched both inside and outside, and has bad water stains. However. You get the picture
  2. i'm not keen to see lunch blue, he looks way cooler brown
  3. Actually thats true. I think the largest tank in the glenfield mall shop is only about 30L. So that would be "Large" Gah
  4. Just wondering, how many people keep freshwater crays (Koura)? If you keep them, what do you keep them with? Feeding? 3 times a week, or do you think thats a load of BS, and feed more often? And what do you feed them? Interactive? - Do they come and visit you when you look in their tank, and how much do they hide. I'll go first. Mine is called "Dinner" I took a chance and got two, thinking that I had enough hidey holes in the tank for both of them. I was wrong. I can conclusively say that Dinner > Lunch. Feeding: Once a day in the evening. Gets fed occasional vege bits. Seems to enjoy Serra Vipachips. Feed large chunks that he can hold. Interaction: I don't think he has ever hiden in his hidey hole. Always is out. Will I get another one (If this dies?) Hell yes. Currently the only creature in the tank. I had him in with 5x WCMMs, but I got bored of feeding flake into that tank as well
  5. Black Ghost Knife - Very cool to handfeed, Noctournal Fish. While not recomended to beginners, do it. Teach it to handfeed, and you will take care of it- Nothing like an animal that eats out of your hand Single Fin running most of the way along the body. Electrical Fish - Uses Eletrical Currents to find food & hidey holes. DO NOT KEEP WITH FISH THAT WILL FIT IN ITS MOUTH!! It will (over time) start to come out more. Image taken from www.aquahobby.com
  6. 0.0, 15 foot x 5.5 foot? holy crap.

    how stong?

Find floor beams. Make sure the tank is centred on these & has a SOLID BASE - IE, its not on any type of "legs", but instead on solid wood / metal bracing all round the floor.
  8. nice to hear slinky has a new house

  10. Oh yeah. THe way I got rid of it was to turn off my filters completely. Even without carbon they still seemed to be stripping the stuff outta the water.
  11. That white circle stuff I found to be crap. I had a temp of 29 until mine started to bugger off, and was dosing with that white circle blue spot stuff daily
  12. If you are running that many tanks in that room, use a dehumidifier. 1. Keeps air warm 2. Prevents room from rotting.
  13. Try handfeeding your fish, its a more rewarding experience (my discus attack my hands whenever i pt my hands into the tank, and they can also be petted. I however don't endorse hand feeding 2' long Arowanas. or big oscars.
  14. uh-oh. If it is white spot, you will almost certainly need to treat your whole tank.
  15. 50cm to keep the height as high as possible, for the taller plants, and 50cm is tall enough to reach the bottom easialy, and 60cm is far too deep
  16. About 240 L? I'd be tempted to go for 120 * 45 * 50. Gives larger fish more play room.
  17. Another option would be Danios. mine seem to be happy @ 28.5 degrees.
  18. it will take a BGK a long time to fit one in its mouth
  19. http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/poly-orn.htm They will most likely be Ornates, as I know that in auckland a lot of shops have been getting them in.
  20. from what I remember its a chocolate sauce infused with some exotic alcoholic drink
  21. Looks good. Remove the neons, they dont like discus temps. Add Rummynose or Cardinals. Is it just me, or is that a heck of a lot of bottom dwellers?
  22. 100-pack 208 966 $24.95 $22.95 Pretty cheap lol Using two at a time, 50 applications... And, best of all, the insides don't get yucky, and require powder and stuff.
