  3. from what I have read, it seems that they are actually phasing out the permit system but anyone will be able to keep captive bred schedule 3 species. Most of the species I have ever wanted are on schedule 3 so it would in fact save me money. just means that endangered species are only in Doc hands which is a bit scary. So I may never get that Tuatara I allways wanted!! am I reading it right?

  5. no smell, we have it next to the dining table, I find it easy to keep clean.
  6. the documentary series starts tonight 8.30 on prime all about reptiles and amphibians for those that haven't seen it yet is is well worth a look.
  7. sand is very easy, I have a kitchen sieve that I use once a week, I just run it through the sand and it takes any rubbish out. The beardie loves digging in the sand and sometimes I find him lying flat out in a little hole he's dug out.
  8. made the stand myself, been making a top but taking a while :roll: will be adding some more plants later today as well
  9. I think I just like natural, i've got sand and clay substrate.

  11. i've got a few pitcher plants growing in the trees at home, they creep through the branches, seem to get through winter ok too.

  13. keep mine at around 20 deg inside over winter, then in outdoor ponds over summer.
