  1. Hey can everyone who is not on the email list please send me your email address pls. Simon sent this out last night and if you didnt get it then it could be that the list is not up-to-date. A show of hands would be great, YES - NO - or MAYBE and your suggestions pls. Hi all As discussed at the last meeting, March's meeting will be a trip to Wanganui to visit tanks of our Wanganui members. Rox and myself are trying to plan the day and would really appreciate it if you could reply letting us know whether you plan to attend or not. If you are unsure, please let us know also. If everyone could let me know by this Sunday evening. I am going to be away next weekend so will have no time to plan things then. As discussed we plan to do a BBQ , but want to know whether this will be lunch or dinner. I was thinking lunch as most of us will have work on Monday and if people have to travel home it might make it a bit late for some.Open to ideas though. Thanks Simon
  2. you're way to sick to drag your sorry butt to work but you can still manage to water change every tank in the house and the garage and at your Mum's place........
  3. I think they are nearly as blue as Ryans, thats what I started out with and the male offspring are equally as neon. although thats not what I'm breeding for and only choose the biggest male to breed back to them (and not showing any of the oringinal gold genes).
  4. Are yours golds with big as females? Thats what I started with and have managed to perfect the blues.
  5. Actually it depends on which gene you are looking for, some are carried by the female others by the male parent. Check your inbox, at the top "new messages"
  6. The female carries the ribbon fin gene, she will produce both male and females with and without the ribbon fins. The ribbon fin male looks fantastic because he has all the fins and is very colourful but yes he gets to a point where he can't breed, not that that stops him trying.
  7. And here is a side on view, just to give you some idea of shape and length of fins. Hi goodguy29 I am growing fry out at the moment, if you are prepared to wait then yes you can purchase some. I have bred these from my Gold ribbon fins and would like first to have myself covered before parting with them and I seem to be getting alot more males than females. The gene is carried by the female.
  8. Thanks, time, tanks and good genes Can you pls go to user control panel and add ur location
  9. I have Blue Neon Ribbon Fins That I finally have breeding true. Now's a good time to say thanks to everyone who has contributed "genes", you know who your are :bounce: :bounce:
  10. About time its seems like a long time since we last met. This one will probably be the last one for the year??? We should go out with a bang, :bounce: :bounce: what shall we do people?
  11. After a Blackberry and QWERTY a Nokia is a pain in the neck and everywhere else. Nokia is not a market leader any more.
  12. Blackberry :bounce: :bounce: wins hands down, QWERTY keyboard is fantastic and easy to use. Remembers all words and never forgets! Unlimited memory, in the 2 yrs I had mine I never had to delete a single message and could use search to pull up a name and find any message ever sent or received. GPS - rules, why have a ph that doesnt have it! Recharges on the computer and you can still use it hence u don't need a separate car charger if you already have a USB charger in your car. Heaps of free stuff online to download, your ring tome can be any song you have downloaded. Just my opinion Simon.
  13. We have had lots of problems with them too, getting abscess' then slowly dying, I wouldnt be blaming the Petshops as it seems they are just rather prone to it. Although in saying that, we have some lovely NZ bred ones and they seem, :bounce: at this stage they seem to be stayers There are people on here trying to breed so maybe keep an eye out and if you feel that way inclined, you could give them another try.

    Ok 3-4 Questions?

Thanks Jenniferh, I have written a comment for the workbook and spoke with them over another matter that was unclear and.... at the same time offered to make comments on work well and what didn't We are obviously on the same page. I thought I'd throw it open on here for people to comment just in case I had missed anything. My student will be able to read this today and probably answer in a similar fashion to what you have suggested, thanks everyone

    Ok 3-4 Questions?

Yes, thanks :bounce: I know we read that, but it says red spots on an Angelfish, so in saying that you'd think it was something they are prone too. But in saying that the assessment asked for the same in Tetra, and she has not been able to find one thing about red spots on Tetra. And as we know with Tetra they are a dime a dozen and if you loose one then others are bound to go down too, great for cycling a tank!
