    NANO Tanks

yeah I saw them the other day- they look pretty smooth aye!
  7. yep I did the same thing on tuesday. you just have to replace the starter for the bulb that isn't working...
  8. my female pink skunk clown bullied my male and nipped at his tail quite alot until she died. now I am left with just the male and his tail has fully regrown... he seems alot happier without her though!!! he has his own anemone now
  9. i would reccomend keeping them by themselves- from what I have heard you will see alot more of their natural behaviour in a species tank. I have seen them kept with discus before though. Any discus are fine...

    holes

and lack of light I think too caryl... are all the plant species doing this quack or just one in particular??? Is it just the old leaves or new ones as well?
  11. nothing to loose everything to gain I suppose
  12. i just bring my garden hose inside to do initial fill ups- for topups and water changes I use buckets.... simple... My Parents have got quite used to odd behaviour though- Last weeek I was emptying a 250 L tree frog tank so I had to wheel my wheelbarrow through the house multiple times to get rid of all the dirt!!! I had a trail of soil the whole length of the house!!!

    cicadas

apparently very high calcium to phosphate ratios in comparison to other insects or something like that

    cicadas

circadas are very very good- perhaps the best insects to feed live fish. At the zoo we catch them to feed our Pacu and arowana

    a shark tank?

well course it is those US loosers never do anything right!!! (as a broad broad generalisation).... Not looking at anyone in particular- except bush
  21. steve took this shot in Aussie- they have used persplex I think- this is for reef fish tough but something similar would work
  22. haha na aluminium corrodes like crazy... luckily aluminium oxide is very hard so you should be sweet... Al. oxide is that grey goating you get on aluminium which stops it from being shiny.... i don't know why you would use it in a breeding tank though rather than persplex or plastic
  23. attach some sponge on with zip tie or rubber band arund intake to stop them being sucked up. Feed them by leaving lettuce leaves in a cup of water for a few days on the windowsill then pour the brown liquid out of the cup and refill eith fresh water and the old leaves. When they are bigger they will feed on baby brine shrimp i think, however mine are still on introfusia(sp.) and they are a few weeks old.
  24. yeah i found silico didn't stick very well either- cheers for the suggestion
