yep- i heard they can sometimes be a bit scrappy- but they can, and commonly are kept together

i have minnows and axolotls, as well as looking after natives (freshwater and marine)

yep. i would love to have a nice big amazon tank with a freshwater ray, and discus as a biope- that would be cool...

yep- in my reef i still syphon weekly to get out all the crud. this is because the heavy crud just sits at the bottom of the tank, and the overflow to the sump is at the top of the tank!

and as they say- the solution to pollution is dilution- ie more water in the system!

i do the same thing but with water attached to a bottle for watering the plants constantly in my tree frog tank.

i don't think it could be caused by fish tb adoge.... i know of tanks with fish tb and the fish have all been fine.... its just if the tb gets passed to humans!

dunno how the acaras would go with the angels if they were breeding...

manually remove it then make sure it doesn't come back if it was a reef tank everyone would be yelling out ROWAphos but its not so i dunno- high nitrates perhaps? what do your readings say? With african tanks there is alot of wast so you need a high filter turnover because you are essentially overstocking
