  1. Will survive in lower tropical temps. But needs good lighting. Most forms bought are emersed so will usually not take off in a tank. HTH
  2. What sort of car is it?? Youve done well to keep it this long already.
  3. Awesome bird Mark. Absolutely beautiful. Do you have a full shot picture to give a size comparison.
  4. YES, its too cheap. My hot water and heating is Gas. But my power bill was 280.00 last month. (thats only power, gas was another $120) Two adults in the house. 10 heated tanks of varying sizes. The bigger tanks are cheaper to run as they hold the temps better. What people are forgetting is that the price of power has greatly increased over the last two years. Its a sad truth that its never going to get any cheaper.
  5. C Undulata flower spike. Have not seen this one flower yet.

  13. Now who would write an article about boring old Cryptocorynes???
  14. I think its best to just make do with the ph as it is. The fish will be fine , they will get used to it. at least it will stay the same when you do water changes. Too much risk when artificially trying to replicate natural perameters and get it wrong. Unstable and prone to swinging. JMO
  15. Oh, our meeting place is nothing like a cold hall. It is a state of the art community centre with heating and kitchen etc. As someone mentioned already, our club/group is already far to big to host at someones house. We can currently sit around a huge table and all see each other when talking. The issue with tank crawls for us is also the fact of numbers, and also that our group has such a large range of where people live. I myself have to travel 50 mins to get there. Others travel over two hours and drive up from Wellington.
  16. On a butchers shop door- Pleased to meet you, Meat to please you.
  17. A sign outside a meat factory in Foxton had a sign out front a while ago. "Boners Wanted" Appealed to my gutter mind  Garden centre in Palmy has a huge sign above bulk gravel and rocks, reads " Get your garden STONED!"
  18. Have you tried t check with another thermometer?? I have two electronic themos in one tank and one reads 26.2 degrees and the other reads 24.6. HTH
