I am hoping to go fishing on the East coast, chuck a line in the sea, drink a box of beer, then wade in and try to retrieve my line. By this time I will be hungry and go buy snapper and chips from the "fishy" :lol: -
Goldfish are very big poopers this could be your problem coupled with the water adjustment over time.

If you can get them to Hamilton early you could send them same day via NZC the cost would be $11.50 for 5kg/.025cubic metre or $23 10kg/.05 cubic metre, providing it is not a rural delivery.

SamH could be right as Taupo water is very soft.

Under normal circumstances I would say no they do not eat snails, however I do not seem to have many snails in my discus tanks for whatever reason ( it puzzles me).
